They'd been roommates for a couple of months now. Minnie hadn't received any word yet, but she paid her share of the bills with what she got for managing. Which had included all the bookings, ready and waiting, for the upcoming tour. They had a bus, enough venues to make it profitable, the right hotel reservations, and everything the band, particularly Pauline, needed to feel comfortable. Minnie had triple-checked obsessively and everything seemed to have come together, ready to set out next week. So they'd celebrated at the club tonight, at length in the DJ booth. And he'd promised, quite believably, that he wasn't done, so Minnie's very interested as they get home.

He lets her lean on him all she likes. "Minnie, you're not a whore. We had an arrangement before he left, and we both know I'm just filling in. You're lonely, and I'm giving you something you needed, that's all." he replies, trying to be supportive.

"We both know that when he returns, you're going back, and that'll be the end of the arrangement." Because he's fallen enough in love with her to let her go.

	He shakes his head. "I know. This is all just... something you've needed. You take care of me too, and I'm glad to have you here. Freaking out is understandable. I'm glad for what we've got, and like having you here. But I'll never be anything more, and that's ok. Everyone has their moments of weakness. Just part of being human." 	Minnie's particular uncrossable lines are indeed complicated, encompassing certain music, certain words. But love, while of course something special, isn't something Special. 	He gets her as set up in bed as he can, then heads to the kitchen and makes her another drink, and keeps everything out to make more, figuring this may take a bit of doing. He returns with the drink in a larger glass several minutes later. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	And one more, downing it. This time, she just reaches her arms out to indicate he should get in the bed. "Thank you. I'm a lightweight, fortunately. He shakes his head. "I don't think there's much chance you're going anywhere til you're ready. We go out together, the only girl I've brought home was the one you picked out... and bad as it may sound, I'm totally ok with this. We're just getting to the point where the music is making money, a real recording contract could mean a lot more. The show is doing well with the cross promotion... keeping things light with most of the girls I meet is really ok right now. And you're a great roommate."

She touches his face wistfully, eyes still a tiny bit hazy. "No particualr preference, as long as it's not explicitly Yours...although..." if she could ever be possessed entirely by someone other than her sweet Master, it wtould be DJ, but she shake that out of her head now. It wouldn't do to start thinking of circumstances where you'd beg someone to lay claim to you if you don't ever want those circumstances to happen. Especially when you're tipsy. "You think of something, DJ"

"I hadn't really thought about it too much, and... it wouldn't be. I'd never try to lay claim to you." He'd love to, but he won't. "But still trying to think of something fitting. Once we find something though, any thoughts on getting you a new choker, with a suitable pendant with... whatever pet name we decide on engraved on it? Just as a temporary measure and reminder... its something you can always take off when the time comes, but you have a home tile then."
