Powers: Arielle has the power of the shadows. By merging with her own shadow, Arielle can turn into a living, three-dimensional shadow, turning completely black. Her shadow form allows her to be intangible,able of passing through walls and people, grants her enhanced strength, and allows her to control shadows and create objects using shadows. Arielle has also has had some training in hand to hand combat, and is a decent street-fighter.

History: Arielle was born to a poor family, the O'Tooles. Arielle had a rough childhood growing up. Her father was abusive her both her and her mother, and her mother, when Arielle's father would beat her, would just turn the other cheek and tell her that she shouldn't misbehave. Arielle felt herself an outcast among other children her age, as not having much money, she never had as nice clothes or toys as the other kids.

When Arielle was thirteen, her mother, Fiona, took her own life. Arielle came home from school that day to find her lying in her bed, an empty bottle of pills on the nightstand. Following Fiona's death, Thomas O'Toole became more abusive towards his daughter, as there was only one that he could take his anger out on. Arielle was her father's punching bag until she was fifteen, when she finally got up enough nerve to run away from home.

Living on the streets, Arielle fell into a bad crowd of people, a gang of fellow runaways called the Pushers. The Pushers were run by a man, named David, who gave used experimental drugs on the teens in the Pushers that grant them superhuman abilities, which they would then use commit crimes. The drugs were developed to simply give whoever took them enhanced speed, strength, and senses, but when Arielle took them, it triggered her dormant metahuman gene, and a granted her the power of the shadows. Her new-found abilities were frightening at first, but soon, she adjusted to them, and became one of David's favorites to use on more “important” missions.
