Stuck in a Blood sucking world
Olivia looked at Sarah and then looked around. Where were the rest of the Exiles? Shouldn't they be with them? "Where are the others?" she asked Sarah. "Shouldn't they be here?"

	Sarah flinger Mjolnir to back them off and free an arm, then grabs Liv around the waist and lifts off for a rooftop to settle back into fighting stance and catch the returning hammer. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Once they have the high ground, the rain starts. No specific focus, just a general downpour to increase the confusion and make climbing and flying and other means of getting to them harder. The girls have the advantage in confusing conditions, since almost everything around is an enemy.

Sarah focuses her energy on protecting Liv's backside and knocking vampires off the roof in waves, using mass shield pushes or tossing the hammer, trying to slow the rush, and to give Liv the benefit of as few enemies as possible, since she's doing much better at actually killing them.

Mjolnir is plenty effective, but Sarah's best contribution seems to be forcing as many as possible to have to go through her to get to Liv as possible, focusing less on taking any vampire down, and more on creating a narrow path to the girl with the stakes, playing shield wall so Liv can focus on taking down one or two at a time.

As teamwork goes, its proving fairly effective.

	Liv continued to stake the vampire coming at her. She wasn't close to tiring, but she tried to keep her movements efficient. Buffy, eat your heart out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Just as the enemy seems to be adapting to these tactics, Sarah shifts. The hammer comes down once, then again, and lightning arcs through the skies, lancing down into the street below.

Sure, her accuracy with this is horrible. They just have no way of knowing that she's just taking advantage of everything below being a viable target.

That causes enough hesitation that she's able to slam a bunch off the rooftop, forcing them to start marshalling forces anew, and leaving Liv fighting two or three at a time, with her back covered.

And to Sarah's surprise, it seems to be making a difference. the numbers are finally starting to thin.

	Liv kept moving. Staying in one spot would let them use their numbers to their advantage. One grabbed her arm and she spun on a heel and staked him in the heart. She kicked to the side to hit one coming at her flank. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Sarah smashes Mjolnir down on the head of the one Liv knocked down with the kick, then sweeps back around to send two more flying off the building. They'll be back, or run away - but its effective for the moment. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Until now, most of the vampires I dealt with were pretty stake resistant, and most of them were elders or super-powered. Only time I'd seen stakes work was while they were sleeping... and we still had to cut their heads off... but they didn't have the sheer numbers of this place, so it kind of makes up for it. Glad to hear that stakes still worked for the vampire herd though..." and it catches up with her.

"...Of course steaking cows worked."

"If I could carry a mission log with me more easily, I would, so people could get a primer on the journey so far." A bit of a deep breath. "Staking vampires is one thing. The second world we went to, most of the people we knew had become vampires. We had to put down vampire children, cut people's heads off in their sleep while looking at people we knew... I crushed the Black Panther to death against a wall, because there was no other way. Then one of our teammates tried to take a shortcut to solving the Tallus' riddle, and shot one of our few living allies in the head... and we found out there are no shortcuts. We were stuck there, until I helped Allison disintegrate the vampire version of my Aunt Ororo. We get some pretty horrible assignments sometimes. Allison was one of our first casulties two worlds later. A version of Quicksilver snapped her neck, just like that."
