Should I ward this? It may be inviting trouble to not ward this----

It was---surprisingly enjoyable, I'll admit that much. Thank you for inviting me.

But I need to--- Not to kill the mood, but I need to ask you something.

How do I word this?

I'm not certain how to do this, so I'll just be frank. I only have a few days left before I need to leave my flat and find elsewhere or go back to live with my parents.

Obviously, the latter is the easier option, but---What am I doing If you think there is something here that would be... worthwhile to not have detrimented by their constant presence in my life, I would like to know.

---I mean, I suppose I'm asking what we are to you. And if you think it's--worth it. I just want to know what you feel, so I can tell how hard I should be fighting them.

I can see why you were having some difficulty trying to figure out how to go about this particular subject.

If you want me to be honest? I really don't know what we are. What I do know is that I enjoy spending time with you, and, from what I've gathered, you enjoy spending time with me as well, despite the fact that it's taboo.

While I don't know what we are, I constantly think about the possibilities of what we could be...so if that's anything to go by, than yeah. I definitely think it's worth it. I just don't want you making this big decision and regretting it in the long run - though know that I will do my best to never give you a reason to.

I see.

I suppose then that I should do better at finding a place to live. If you think there is something to stay for--I mean, I think there is as well, despite everything saying there shouldn't be, and I would... hesitantly say that I would like to find out what it is.

I'll give you this much - you definitely have a way with words.

How long do you have to find a new place?

I'm not sure if that is a compliment or not, but I'll take it as one nonetheless..

I don't know, a couple of days? This will be the real challenge, considering my sister is upset with me, my best friend is my dead ex-boyfriend's sister and will have nothing to do with me at the moment because of this whole fiasco, and my other close friends are in Azkaban.

Do you understand why I attempt to avoid my own society?

Fucking Christ...

With perfect clarity.

If you don't find a place to stay by the time you need to pay your rent, I have plenty of room for you to stay here. There's an entire room for you to keep your things - it can just be a temporary thing until something else comes along.

Just an option to consider.

That's very kind of you to offer. Are you sure you want to do that? I doubt we get on well enough overall to-- What if certain topics come up again, where would either of us run to-- I just don't want to upset you, given our... decided differences on things. I feel they may be slightly harder to avoid while on the same premises much of the day.

Yeah, well...what other options do you have right now? You could stay in a hotel, selling all your things to pay nightly, but eventually you're going to run out of things to sell and be right back in the same spot you're in now if you haven't found something else by then.

I never said it was perfect, or ideal...but if you're giving everything up just to give whatever we have here a try, the least I can do is provide you with a safe place to sleep, and food to eat. What you do during your time here would be entirely up to you.

I'm just... looking out for your sanity, I suppose.

However, if you really don't mind, then I may take you up on it. For the time being.

Ha, better late than never.

This is going to sound like I'm being a giant prat, but just bear with me: have you ever considered actually getting a job, so you could afford to get a place of your own? It wouldn't be the same standards you're used to now, but it'd be something to call your own.

I bet there's something you're good at - something you might not even know you can do because you never tried. While you're here, I could help you find something - another bonus is that it would get you out of the house, so you aren't sitting around with the dog.

I have a dog, by the way. She was always locked up when you came over.

Would you like my honest answer to that, despite that it will likely cause you to put your working, motivated head through the wall in frustration with me?

Or would you like an answer that is a lie, but will make you happier to hear?

Fine, but you cannot say I didn't warn you.

In all honesty, I have never gotten a job because I never tried hard enough to do well in school. The reason I never tried hard enough to do well in school was because it was assumed that I was going to be married shortly before or after I left Hogwarts, and it is uncommon if not prohibited by most husbands that their spouses do anything but uphold social ties and produce heirs. So, I honestly never saw a reason to try, and I didn't enjoy studying, so I used it as a scapegoat excuse to not do so. This is the first time in my life I've ever come into contact with the word 'occupation' relating to myself, as difficult as that may be for you to understand.

You can go on and judge me for it as with so many other aspects of my upbringing, but that's just how things are.

Actually, as much as I hate to admit it, that makes perfect sense. You'd be surprised to know that wizards aren't the only ones who used to go about things in such a way, treating women like 'trophy wives', but I'm not about to go into a muggle history lesson with you right now. That would be negating our previous efforts of preserving that small bit of sanity I still have left.

You think it makes sense?---Circe, save us all

I see. Well, I am glad this is not as shocking to you as it should be. Either way, it makes it quite difficult to find employment doing much more than a menial job. This is a large part of why my parents know that pulling away their money is such an effective blow. It's a large part of how they've always controlled me.
