Eh, what the hell
For this meme, choose one character of yours and one character of mine-- and then I will write out how they hook up, settle into a long term relationship and/or marriage, and describe their firstborn child/children, if any. The only stipulation being no same-sex couples.  Crack pairings and old characters are acceptable.  The only stipulation being no same-sex couples.

It wasn't that Dinah went out of her way to avoid Batman; even though the two of them both operated in Gotham she tended to work more of a day shift, while he was strictly nocturnal. Still, when people began breaking into Kord Industries warehouses in the city proper, it wasn't surprising that they'd both be looking into it.

It had been a rather reluctant team-up. He was inclined to think she was a fool rather than an effective crime-fighter, and she was inclined to believe that he was a too-serious, pointy-eared jerk.

But in working to stop the new Black Mask, the two had, at least, come to be rather impressed by each other's skills and abilities.

He might have been a jerk, but there was certainly something admirable about him... and maybe the brooding loner thing was kind of attractive.

No one could have thought them a couple, but the fact of the matter was, the Scarab and the Batman had started teaming up an awful lot. They backed each other up, cooperated, and risked life and limb for each other time and time again. People began seeing the two together about as often as they had seen Scarab and Goldstar, before the other had disappeared.

When she had been inconsolable about the loss of her best friend, it had, oddly, been Batman who had reached out to comfort her. And later, when the masks had come off, it had been Terry who'd become Dianh's friend.

And slowly, friendship had become something more. They'd dated, found themselves compatible, and continued dating for more than a year.

She'd figured out he'd bough the ring nearly six months before he actually proposed.

Jamie McGuiness was the apple of both parent's eye, and easily as smart as her mother. Her father had been against it, but her mother had been more willing to bow to the inevitable, and signed up any number of teachers from the community.

It wasn't long before a new Batgirl was working through Gotham, bringing the Bat a little more and more out of the darkness, trading a symbol of fear for an uplifting symbol of hope.

It had started over, of all things, a book on meditation. Rose had been looking for one, Starbridge had been in the library and had helped her find it.

She'd taken the book from him, their hands had touched, and their eyes had met. There had been, for lack of a better word, a certain... spark between the two of them.

Rose was often a person who jumped straight into things, he the more thoughtful type. But there was definitely something there that day, something that would slowly fan itself over into something more.

Joey was fun, the first person who'd made her feel like a woman... but Starbridge, Starbridge was good for her, the calming yin to her volatile yang.

When Starbridge had proposed, Rose hadn't taken it especially well. She'd gotten rather spectacularly drunk--quite the feat in and of itself--and then proceeded to get into a very spectacular bar fight in which a little five foot tall woman took out over a dozen very large bikers.

Annie had bailed her out, fortunately, and then proceeded to grill her about her stupid behavior.

And what exactly had she been afraid of? That she wasn't good enough for Starbidge? That sure, they had a lot of fun together and, yeah, she cared about him one heckuva lot, and yeah, she couldn't think about anybody else...

So she'd wound up apologizing and told him she was his, if she'd have him.

He would.

Princess-Consort Rose Logan had an interesting ring to it, didn't it?

Rose was, of course, incapable of bearing children, something that not even the vaunted Shi'ar science could cure. But in an empire like that, there were always children in need of someone to love and care for them.

Sybl Elf Neramani was the first of these. Raised on both Throneworld and Earth, her royal education was quite balanced with sage advice such as "kick them here. works on almost any male, on any planet."

It was years before the children of the gods, either Asgard or Olympus, would travel to Earth, on one of the days when Hercules called upon his friend Thor for a day of carousing and drinking and telling tales.

He had brought his son, Argo, along with him, to introduce him to Thor's children.

There had been ice-princess, who had merely glared. The red-haired prince, who he had bested in wrestling, the blond archer, who had flirted with him a bit, and the warrior princess, who had challenged and bested the "smug son of Olympus."

When he came to, Argo's first words had been, "I am in love!"

When they reunited in later years, Argo resumed his pursuit of the Asgardian princess, though he was rebuffed. When the Asgardians had been called back to Asgard to turn back a threat most terrible, he had traveled there through Olympus to lend his own might to the battle.

He saved her life that day, and the life of the brother she had risked her own life to try and save.

And perhaps, she grew to look upon the Son of Hercules more fondly.

As it was, the decision was taken out of their hands. A marriage between the children of Thor and Hercules would unit Asgard and Olympus, and bring the pledge of the Olympian gods to stand beside Asgard when Ragnarok would come, perhaps to forestall it forever. So it was decreed by both Odin and Zeus that Svalin and Argo would marry.

Svalin accepted this measure of duty. Argo, however, refused to go through with it, unless it was truly in Svalin's heart. And when she thought long and hard upon it, and searched that heart, it turned out that it was.

Opinion on Herot Argoson, differed depending upon who you talked to. Greek and Norse philosophies were a difficult merger at best, and it was largely said that he was far more Olympian than Asgardian.

He believed duty followed heart, but would commit himself wholly to his duty if it was a cause his heart could believe in. It was said the only thing that surpassed his strength was the power of his heart. Herot loved Midgard, Asgard, and Olympus, and fought bravely time and time again for each.

And perhaps, it could be said, he loved the ladies of each especially well.

Honestly? When it had happened back in their own universe? It had seemed like a good idea at the time. They'd both been around the mansion, they were bored, and had plenty of energy to burn.

It was just as well he'd been heading off after that. Because her dad certainly would have killed him otherwise.

When she found herself in a different universe, she found herself missing the Cajun most of all. Even when she started a new relationship, well... there were still thoughts of Braddock.

So eventually, Rose had ended up in a pretty passionate relationship with Joey, and Braddock had shown up a while later and so had Gretchen. The Elf and Cajun had struck out, but kept coming back for visits.

And on one of those, well, she and the Cajun had gotten a little closer and...

It had ended with a lot of hurt feelings and broken hearts. But the two of them couldn't much deny what was there. They'd decided to run off and make the most of this new world.

It was supposed to have been a long 'con, a bit score from some very bad people, but the Vegas chapel wedding had turned out to be surprisingly legal. They never did get around to getting it annulled.

Stupid AIM tampering with things man was not meant to know. Stupid inter-dimensional portal dropping him into some God-forsaken dimension where there were cities he'd never even heard of in spaces where it shouldn't have been possible for there to be more geography.

This was a really good bar, though. And the red-head serving the drinks was really hot. So he'd asked her if she wanted to climb his flagpole. She'd dumped a ton of snow on him and bounced him to the curb.

And yet he kept coming back. And when a super-human bar fight had broken out, they'd ended up fighting together. He'd ended up crashing at her place, and, well... the Walker charm did work pretty well after all.

Oh, they had plenty of non-traditional fun. They went to WWE matches and Monster Truck rallies and the like, but he'd grown close to Petra over the months. He bounced at her bar, hero'd when he could, and they had a lot of fun, really.

But he'd gone full-out fancy for this. Fancy restaurant, horse-drawn carriage ride through the park after, the whole down on one knee bit.

She'd said yes, on the condition that they get her parents' blessing. Fortunately, he and Mr. Gardner ("Call me Guy!") got on like a house on fire. And as for her mother, well, she understood loving men that most people only saw as jerks.

When the city of Los Angeles has literally been turned into hell, Johnny Walker, Jr., the SHIELD agent codenamed: Patriot, had been on leave and on the ground.

Terrorists and the occasional super-villain, murder-machine, war wheel, or MODOK? Those he could handle without breaking a sweat. But he'd been willing to admit that a localized dimensional restructuring was probably a little bit out of his pay-grade.

But he'd fought what he could and--though he made very clear his thoughts on their divinity--he was glad when the Defenders had shown up.

Blah blah blah, big fight, blah blah blah "magic", blah blah blah "back to normal."

The smoking hot brunette had lost most of her top when the demons had clawed at her, so he'd been a gentleman and offered his jacket (not before checking her out a bit though), and then asked if she had plans for later.

She gave him a look that suggested she could just as soon turn him into a toad, but he'd backed off with compliments, and "hey, you were good out there," and the old Walker charm worked, and she agreed to one date, if he promised to behave.

Johnny Walker jr. was, among other things, a loudmouth, a jackass, a bit of a jerk, opinionated, anti-intellectual, and stubborn.

But somewhere in there, beat the heart of a pretty decent, pretty okay guy. So he took Marlow to places that he liked, which were probably a little rougher or seedier than was usual date material, but it all worked out. Monster truck shows had been a fun one, except for the time ghosts had possessed the trucks and he'd had to fight them while she exorcized the spirits.

One date lead to another, and another, and the next thing he knew, he was requesting to be the SHIELD liaison to the Defenders.

When some flame-headed guy had kidnapped her, he was chomping at the bit to go to the rescue, even though by the time they got there, she hadn't needed any rescuing at all.

His mother was upset he'd gotten married in another dimension, but he promised they'd have a real wedding real soon.

Once things had settled, the JSA had turned their "movie night" into a pretty regular thing. Cat saw to it that that the adults of the group always had plenty of good beer, because it wasn't a party unless you had really good beer.

As it was, she'd probably had about one too many when, later in the party, when things had turned away from movies to music, that she'd hauled Mikey out on the dance floor. It had taken a little bit of convincing that she wouldn't bite and, yes he really could put his hands there, and if he played his cards right, he maybe could get to put his hands somewhere else too.

That hadn't happened, since an emergency had popped up, but all in all, in had been a lot of fun.

Most of the time, Cat didn't understand what the heck Mikey was talking about. Dad-blammed techno-babble made her head hurt. But Mikey made for an excellent drinking buddy and even somebody to come pick her up when she'd been out drinking and wasn't quite fit enough to get home under her own steam.

And then he started coming by Sherwood Florist every now and then, and finally, she'd told him if he was gonna ask her out, he better do it already. And he had.

He'd hid the ring in her boxing gloves about a year later.

That the pregnancy had been completed on a cat time table rather than a human one should have been their first clue, really, that something had been amiss.

But the family, both sides, doted on the fuzzy boy. And you better believe he knew how to fight.

Between Starbridge, Torn Ear, David, and Franklin, Rachel had developed a surprisingly active dating life, though though they were all really wonderful guys, she found that she kept coming back to Franklin.

He made her laugh, and in the dark times, could sympathize with her own fears over just what depths her power could drive her to.

Life happened. They dated more, became more that just dating, though his own desire to not to be a super-hero conflicted with her own desire to help bring the X-Men as heroes in everyone's eyes eventually lead to their break-up.

When Rachel died, using the last bits of the Phoenix Force to restore the sun after Magneto destabilized its magnetic field in a final effort so subjugate humanity, none mourned more deeply than Franklin.

When she finally returned to life, a year later, the first place she went when she was allowed to leave the mansion was to see him.

They were married less than a week later.

To the surprise of both Doctor Reyes-McCoy and Doctor Richards himself, Rachel's pregnancy was surprisingly complication free, given Franklin's own second-generation cosmically radiated genes. She delivered in the usual way, bringing into the world a perfectly healthy baby boy, Scott Richards.

Perfectly healthy, and one hundred percent negative for the X-Gene. Uncle Hank suspected than two such powerful X-genes had simply canceled each other out.

Raising little Scott not to be jealous of all his super-powered "cousins" would be a monumental task for anyone. But they would be up for it.

Argo rather liked redheads. Of course, he also liked brunettes, blondes, and women with hair dyed various colors. But not bald though. That was creepy.

But Eliza, Eliza was a very amazing woman under any circumstances. To fight the kinds of battles the Champions did without any real super-human abilities to speak of was extremely impressive and evocative true courage.

The Son of Hercules would not help but be impressed.

But he also did not intrude (knowingly at least) upon the relationships of others. And so he held his peace.

But love often finds a way, and during one such adventure with the Champions, Argo and Eliza found themselves trapped within a cave together, an insidious prison from which his Olympian strength would only serve to bring the whole thing down upon them.

With little to do but wait for a rescue, it had been hard not to give in to their urges. And so they had not.

They would not speak of it for some time, but each found their thoughts drawn more to the other as time progressed.

And so did the Son of Hercules ask Eliza to spend the rest of her days with him.

Bruce, Barry, and Hal because they were all, in their own way, detectives or policemen. Arthur because they were both strangers to the shores of man.

But Diana? Diana came from a martial culture and reminded him greatly of the war-like White Martians who had brought ruin to Mars time and time again. She was possess a ferocity that frightened him at times, even when he saw the times when she could be as gentle as a lamb, as much an avatar of peace as violence. Some part of his Martian nature appreciated the dichotomy.

Though she was long dead, J'onn considered himself still married to M'yri'ah.

J'onn and Diana had fought beside each other for many years before either had truly spoken of anything. Diana had, rather directly, asked if would have dinner with her, and he did so, in his human guise of J'onn J'onzz.

It had been pleasant, enjoyable even. Conversation revealed things neither had known about the other. And then super-villains had tried to break into the bank across the street.

Wonder Woman and the Manhunter from Mars were quite displeased to have their evening interrupted. And made that displeasure known.

It was the start of a strange, wonderful relationship. Diana possesses a beautiful mind, which she shared freely with J'onn, who opened himself up to her in ways he had not in untold years.

He was not so alone anymore.
