This is a journal, but it's a public journal. So isn't it just talking to other people about your problems? That doesn't make any sense. No one wants to hear about other people's problems. Especially co-workers.

But I'll do what I have to do.

So I guess ... I can't sleep. I don't ever sleep unless I've downed pills. I already know most of the treatments they do. But what do other people do when they can't sleep? Maybe if I hear from someone normal I'll figure out what it is I'm missing. Or not doing right.

I don't know what to think of this thing. I'm probably not even doing this right.

((OOC: Strikes definitely invisible.))

Edit:((OOC: Scribbld can kiss my ass. Sorry guys, gonna have to re-comment or ignore this now.))

Yeah, journal things are kind of new to me too. But I agree, nobody wants to read about someone's emoness.

Sucks about the sleeping though, dude. Watch a boring movie? Read literature? Jack-off before bed time?

I just don't know what the point is to do this for a porn business. Or any business. It's about work, not socializing.

I actually like boring movies and literature. As for the third ... I never really want to.

Socializing is what makes work tolerable though.

Oh, maybe you never want to because you're reading boring books and watching lame movies.

Well, have you identified why you can't sleep? You got a busy mind at night or something?

I find socializing more intolerable than work.

I don't think the critics would agree with you.

I have an idea. I just don't know how to fix it.

Maybe you can use it to keep in touch with people? And it's always nice to see how other people are doing. It doesn't always have to be bad.

As for sleep... Routine helps.

You can make some stuff private, I think. So you can use it for personal entries. I don't know, I don't use these much either.

I guess it's good to talk to people if you're shy or bored at work. Or stuck watching stupid security videos.

I read that people subconsciously like hearing about other people's problems because it makes them feel better about their own.

If counting sheep and milk doesn't work, why not try a massage? It relaxes the muscles and can have you put to sleep very quickly.

Yeah. You close your eyes and imagine them flying over clouds. Focus on counting them and eventually you get tired of it and fall asleep.

Why not?

Go ahead and write about your problems. I don't think anyone really minds, and if you can get a few good ideas to solve them, then that's even better, right?

As for trying to sleep, why not listen to music? Soft, simple music, like classical or something. You don't want anything that's really complex or loud, but if you can listen to it as you try to fall asleep, that might help, right?

If you've taken a lot of sleeping aids, maybe you're dependent on them?

(Reply to this)(Thread)

[info]vitiated
2009-07-03 05:13 am UTC (link)
I try music, sometimes. But I haven't tried classical. Any kind of noise keeps me up, though, so I think it would have the opposite effect.

I had this problem long before any sleeping aids were introduced to the mix.

If noise bothers you, have you made sure wherever you're sleeping is absolutely silent? Maybe if you have loud neighbors or something, that could be bothering you. Even if you live near a big road.

Oh. Maybe, then, as much as it sucks, it could be natural?

Have you seen a doctor recently? It might not even be something you're doing wrong. Sometimes insomnia can be caused by an underlying health condition.

If you're otherwise healthy, though, there are still a lot of factors that can contribute to sleeplessness. Do you take any medications? Do you smoke? Do you drink a lot of caffeine? All those things can lead to insomnia.

And you know, if you ever need to talk about anything, you can always come and see me, Sasuke.

Well, I'm scheduled to see you in a few days. So you'll probably find out if anything's wrong with me.

Doesn't at least 85% of the population do those things? There'd be a lot more insomniacs running around if they were the sole causes.

I'm not into therapy.

[info]legendarytits

I'll have to take a blood sample, then, if I'm to check for health conditions that could cause insomnia. We can consider it your monthly blood draw and I'll check for HIV and syphilis then as well.

And insomnia is a very common disorder. One in ten Americans has chronic insomnia, one in four have temporary symptoms. So there really are that many insomniacs running around, caused by any number of things. I was just listing some common causes you little punk.

My door is always open and my phone is always on if you ever do want to talk, Sasuke.
