[Private]Stupid Death Eaters will stop at nothing. Did they really think I would fall for such an obvious trick? Well...they'll just have to try harder if they want to kill me. Really...a secret meeting with a woman? Ha! That's the oldest trick in the book. And using a muggle card to throw me off their scent? Very tricky, but I wasn't fooled. I know how their kind thinks. Probably imperioed some unwitting muggle to get it for them, then killed the poor bastard.[/Private]

I got a suspicious delivery on the fourteenth. Luckily, I was not fooled and destroyed it with a well placed hex.

My aurors need to learn from that. Do not trust your mail. You never know when someone might be trying to kill you or lure you into a trap.

So--- we should never open anything that gets sent in the mail?

Don't be an idiot, Longbottom. You just need to perform a series of spells to check for threats. And not trust anonymous letters.

But what if it's a letter from a distant relative that I've met... oh, say once before but haven't seen for a while and... I am being rushed out the door, therefore almost literally forced to open it at once.

You know, Longbottom, sometimes I really wonder how you make it through the day without someone reminding you of when to breathe. Because you are currently proving that you have all the intelligence of an inbred snail.

An inbred snail? Really.

I thought I'd at least be up to par with an incestuous frog.
