He managed to find them an old, dirty little hotel room after the encounter with the assassins' guild.

She knew something of him, of the Rider, of the demon in his soul. That he could never love her. Not really.

She'd still never seen that side of him.

She'll wake up bandaged, with the smell of strong alcohol filling the room. Some of it was used on her injuries, a lot of it went into Nick to help kill some of the images he saw deep in the eyes and souls of evil men.

He's still there, staring out the window into the dirty streets, wondering what her impression will be when she wakes up.

Its rarely good.

	She gives him a thumbs up before shuffling to the bathroom to wash up any dry blood and just wake up period. "Good to know." She said. Etoile has changed from the last time he was with her. She still is sweet, innocent and scattered brained. Right now, all of that is thrown out the window. She is focused and determined to find her family. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He did his best to do a decent job cleaning her up. Most of her clothes are bloody rags, or got salvaged for bandages. A couple of the towels in the bathroom are also losses for the same reasons. Not much else was going to be strong enough to help sort of hold her ribs in place.

No way she should be going right back out, but not like he's going to stop her. He's done dumber things.

When she does come back, he's taking up half the bed, working on the bottle a bit more and watching cheap motel cable.

She wasn't really good at small talk, would do her best to not even start it up, right now small talk is about the only thing she could offer to him. "So, how are things with you?" She asked. 	He tosses her his jacket once he figures out she's looking for clothes. Its not much - he said he'd go find her something, but that hasn't happened yet. "Hey, you know... taking care of business. Etoile looks down at the jacket he tossed her way. With a thankful nod of her head, she carefully picks it up to place it on her naked form. First things first, look for clothes.

"That's good, that's good." She said with a weak smile. "Hopefully you won't need to save my ass this time around. It seems to happen a late..especially with these guys. I swear they increase in numbers every time I come here." Etoile says as she slowly pushes herself off the bed.

	He watches her moving around, finding a wall to lean against. "Hey, no problem. I'm pretty fond of your ass, after all. And they do increase in numbers. They know they're being investigated and have powered folk looking into their business, so they're hiring out extra muscle. They'll get into the powered mercs next." (Reply to this)(Parent)
