Test Scene
Marcus had not been back in Gotham in years. He much prefer his place with dad back in the Keys to Gotham but it had been his home for a while and it gave him a chance to visit his mom's grave. Plus it also gave him a chance to check out the famous action in the city whether he had the Bat's permission or not.

Which was exactly what he was doing right now. There was a bank robbery going on which he was going to stop and deal with.

Ah bank robberies. Stopping these was a pet project of his. Because the people who tended to do these were way over their heads. Theft he could deal with. Bad theft? Well that required serious punishing. If you were going to steal in Gotham and from certain banks, you had better be damn good.

Or else.

Robin perches in the shadows and watches the wannabe thieves continue, completely unaware they'd set off the silent alarm. Such amateurs.

	Marcus watched the bank for a moment before jumping into action literally as he made his way into the bank through a window. His guns were already drawn as he landed on the ground pointed at the robbers. "This is the part where your robbery gets foiled," Marcus says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

From his perch inside the bank Robin sees the new addition do a classic gotham entrance. Except through a window and not a sky light.

First thing he notices other than the bright red mask are the guns. That's not good. He suspects he knows who this guy is but guns were never a good thing to have to deal with.

"Better give it up guys. Before he shoots off your kneecaps or worse: I get to you," a voice comes from behind the amateur robbers. He mentions the kneecaps to see if the red hood will argue and to gauge how much lethal force the other guy uses. Not to mention that by being on the other side of the criminals he hopes it'll deter him from shooting too much lest he nearly hit Robin too.

He had heard that there was a new Robin in town but that was about it that Marcus really knew of him.

"Just try to run and give me the excuse to," Marcus says keeping his guns aimed at the robbers. "Though you could defy convention and be smart about this and give up now." Marcus kind of hoped that they wouldn't though.

The Robbers didn't move they were definitely stuck between a rock and a hard place and were unsure what to do right now.

	A slow smirk forms on Robin's face. Ah, when robbers froze like that it was the best. "Time is ticking. Pick now or we'll teach you how things work for particularly bad criminals in Gotham." 	Marcus was rather enjoying all of this as well. He was almost tempted to see if he could get one of them to wet themselves with fear. "Yeah pick now before we pick for you," Marcus says before whistling the Jeopardy song. 	Thomas looks amused at all this. Yep, nothing better than seeing these idiots cower in fear. "Don't worry. We haven't called the police yet, so it gives us plenty of time to deal with you." 	Marcus absolutely agreed on the idiots cowering in fear being a lot of fun to see. "You really doing want to make us angry during that wait trust me," Marcus says with a quick laugh. He was having way to much fun with this. The rest of the robbers drops the weapons deciding the take the easy way out but one drops his gun and turns to run away screaming. Robin nearly laughs at the running robber. A screamer too, those were always amusing.

Normally he'd have given the runaway a bit of time before crushing his hopes of escape but with the gun guy here being an unknown variable, he wasn't going to risk it.

With practiced speed, Thomas pulls out a bolo and with a quick swing tosses it at the man's legs to wrap around them and send him face first into the ground. He'd prefer there'd be no gun shots and other unnecessary complications.

At least that meant they'd manage to intimidate a group of robbers into surrender with no real physical violence(what happened to the screamer could hardly count) and only fear. The big boss should be proud.

Marcus quickly started locking in on the gun aiming on of his guns but there wasn't a clear safe shot for him to take. Not with the other people in the bank at least.

But with the bolo flying at the guy he stopped and turned the gun towards the others so they wouldn't think to try anything.

When he heard the gun fall flat on his face Marcus laughed. That guy was too funny with the screaming and running. If only he had been flailing his arms too.

"So anyone else feeling escapy because just so you know we went easy on that guy."

Sadly, the only flailing they got was when he was mid-fall. At least it was something.

Robin looks over to the other robbers. "That was more than just easy, that was kid gloves." The message was clear though. If the screamer had been taken down with such ease that Robin hadn't even moved from his spot or seemed to even try, well...if these vigilantes were to put in effort, well it'd be far worse. Clearly nobody here was a challenge to them and it was painfully obvious.

Thomas actually had a button on his belt that would alert the police to things and call them here. He'd lied to the robbers earlier when he said the police hadn't been called. The sirens would start very soon, he'd calculated the minimum time it would take them and they'd already managed to stall the robbers for most of that. Good, this had been done efficiently and with no gunshots at all. That was important.

And soon the sound of sirens fill the air.

	Thomas knew the layout of the bank and the surrounding streets well, even if it was a different universe the streets hadn't changed, so his plan is set. 	Once the police lights showed up at the bank Marcus disappear through a back door. Once he got out on the streets again he would head back up to the rooftops. He got the feeling that Robin might try following him not that Marcus cared so long as he did not cause him trouble. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Robin sees Red Hood leave but sticks around for another minute to make sure the wannabe robbers don't try anything funny while the police get in order. Once the police get inside and take control, Robin disappears into the shadows and goes to catch up with the Red Hood. He sees him a few rooftops away and follows. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He was, just sticking to the shadows mostly. But the swoosh of the scalloped cape comes right before he lands on Marcus's roof and out of the shadows. "Red Hood huh?" "Really? I'm pretty sure I know what it actually is," he smirks. Ah, Batcave files. They had been an interesting read but no doubt were missing stuff on this guy. "You already helped with the robbery. Just wanted to ask if you were sticking around the city long." And what was the deal with guns. Though Thomas had never been anywhere as intense as Bruce on the no guns things.

	"Well what is it then," Marcus asks curious to see how much this guy knew and probably what the bat files had on him. "No just passing through so nothing for you to worry about there," he says. 	Robin shrugs, seemingly relatively unfazed at the 'Rob' stuff. He'd be annoyed if he had to deal with that on regular basis with the guns, but as it is he let's it go. "We do. 	Well this conversation was actually turning out a bit better than expected Marcus thought to himself. After all neither of them had tried anything physically violent towards each other yet. "Well I wouldn't be adding to your work load. Wouldn't want to stay here anyways." Too many bad memories and Gotham was not really is idea of a fun place to live. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Thomas had no reason to get violent. The guy clearly had no intention of staying in Gotham and he hadn't shot anything yet, of course Robin had made sure of that. Sometimes it was better to keep it polite, because if you told some people No they just went and did it to spite you.

Better not to give this guy an excuse to do that. "Gotham's not for everyone," he shrugs and doesn't say that he kind of would be adding to the workload.

Marcus probably would do that type of thing to spite someone if pissed off enough which he was not at yet. Truth be told it was kind of amusing to watch right now.

"Well since we have that settled Rob are you just going to let us both go our separate ways or are you just going to keep trailing me for the rest of the night?" He did not like the idea of having a babysitter for the rest of his stay in Gotham.

Well it's not like he wouldn't be keeping an eye on this guy for the rest of his stay. He'd just keep his distance and let cameras and such do a lot of the work, notifying him when he needs to step in. This wasn't the sort of guy it was smart to set off or make do things in spite. Still he'd stick to always staying in the same neighbourhood this guy was for the time being.

	Robin had already read Marcus's file before but that'd had been a while ago. He needed to go look it over again and in more detail. But for now he'll keep his distance but still keep an eye on the Red Hood. "Later," he says and does a classic bat disappearance away. (Reply to this)(Parent)
