Notes: For fandom_stocking.
This was maybe the weirdest place Parker had ever broken into. Not the
hardest, by any means, though they had some inventive security for sure, and anything underground was by nature difficult to get into.
Still, everyone needed air ducts, and there wasn't an air duct made she couldn't get through, provided they were large enough. Whoever ran security for this place
had had the sense to booby-trap them. Parker gave them extra points for intelligence, while disarming the traps.
"Okay," Hardison's voice came in over the comm. "You're almost there. Be careful when you come out; it looks like there's a drop."
She didn't bother to respond, being too busy opening the grate over the air duct. There
was a drop, of about ten feet, which was nothing when you were as used to breaking into places as she was. She dropped lightly to the floor, scanned the area quickly, then turned around and came face to face with...
...what the hell, that was a pterodactyl.
"Well, well." A handsome, dark-haired man stolled out from beind the pterodactyl, and gave her a sharp smile. "What have we here?"
Parker narrowed her eyes.
She was going to
kill Nate.
