[Slytherins]

Can anyone perhaps enlighten me as to why we have to waste space by allowing Hufflepuffs to live? I need some sort of logical explanation, perhaps one that could leave me resigned to a fact I can do nothing about, if I wish to get through my evening without doing something I might regret in the near future.

[Private to self]

I have the complete misfortune of being paired with one Susan Bones for Astronomy. She perhaps defines a stereotypical Hufflepuff, and it's completely disgusting. Though shockingly, she has the backbone to imply to the entire student population that having me as a partner might RUIN Astronomy for her. Bones, pudding, no one cares.
I doubt I can resist hitting her with something if she even dares counter me during this meeting. Merlin, I don't think I can even stomach having her within five feet of myself for more than a few seconds.

To the brilliant mind that assigned me my lovely partner, a hearty FUCK YOU to you.

On a less irritating note, I am going to the Ball with Daphne Greengrass. I find it completely odd that I am looking forward to this affair, when I usually despise occasions like this. I have my reasons, however, though it's surely not for the dressing up or socializing part. The mere thought makes me cringe. Two have given me their word that I shall be kept informed of their plans for the occasion, pranks and the like, and just envisioning them in my head is like a tickle to my  soul. I'm sure more are planning ways to ruin the Ball. With people like Malcom Baddock alive, I am almost certain I wouldn't be left disappointed...

All Hufflepuffs aren't that horrible, but yes most of them are.

I firmly stand on my point that all of them are equally despicable. They're like a swarm of flies just begging to be squished...

I did, however, get the impression that you ignored my question. Am I wrong?

[Sam]
How's the prank coming along?

You are not wrong. I did ignore your question, Theo. Just because I think there is one or two good Hufflepuffs out there.

[THEO]
It's not. I'm not even in the mood to think of the stupid thing right now.

That's very nice to hear, Harper. I can't see myself agreeing with you anytime soon though.

Out of curiosity, who are these Hufflepuffs that you speak of?

[Sam]
Feisty. I do wonder what caused this sudden change of heart... Anything interesting happened to you since the last time we talked?

Funny, Nott. No need to agree with me.

It's one, and you don't need to know his name.

[THEO]
No, I ate, I slept and I got just in a very bad mood. Happy?

I wasn't trying to be funny, Harper.
And I know I don't have to.

Why not? Give me a reason and perhaps I'll let it slide.

[Sam]
Do people actually just get in a bad mood? I don't entirely believe so. One needs circumstances to make that happen. So, no, I'm not happy. And it appears that neither are you...

You. Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. Ravenclaws are responsive and Gryffindors are defensive. Either one leaves me amused.

Hufflepuffs, however, merely drool and stare. Not much of a challenge there...

Why am I not surprised?

Yes, of course. Fun is only defined by making Hufflepuffs cry... Though this notion is charming in its own way, I believe we use the term 'fun' quite differently.

Don't tell me you haven't made a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw cry though, Baddock. That's disappointing.

Taking my words out of context, mate. Messing with Gryffindors or Ravenclaws just isn't as fun.

Have you?

I do not.

I'm paired with some Hufflepuff chit for Astronomy. I'm not pleased about it at all.

I cannot see why I have to paired with someone not up to par. It's... unjust in so many degrees.

I'm sure this can only be true. So, you're saying I have to keep them alive to maintain some sort of balance in this mortal realm? What a very logical, though utterly devastating, stated fact.

What about Mr. Nott?

I do believe you're right. Nicely put, Tracey.

[Tracey]
A headache, you say? I do wonder what had caused such an inconvenience. I am, however, glad to hear you are at least getting better.

Mr. Nott is my father, Tracey. I would truly appreciate it if you would refrain from addressing me with such a name... Unless of course you were inquiring about my dear patriarch... He is still pretty much dead, I think.

As for myself, I do believe I'm alright. Limbs still in tact, air in my lungs, so there is no reason at all for me to fret. I am depressingly bored though. Any suggestions as to how I can remedy this?

Ah, yes your right. But nevertheless, the day will come when you be addressed as Mr. Nott. Just preparing you for that day my dear. It does have a nice ring to it though.

Thats good to hear Theodore. Although I don't think that I've ever seen you sick in the WHOLE time we've known each other.

It does seem this school has become increasingly more mind-numbing that what I remember.

Maybe we could go hex some Hufflepuffs?
