SEMI-FINAL MATCHES!
Who's heading to the cup finals? Ireland? Scotland? England? Japan? Find out here!

SCOTLAND vs. IRELAND

Holy Merlin's Pants. A first for this tournament, the team that caught the snitch did not win the match!

As reported earlier in the day, Scotland's keeper Finley Calhoun had been ill the past two days, but had been cleared to play. Well, Ireland took advantage of the keeper's dizziness and flew literal circles around him. Some of the aerial moves made by Irish Chasers Holly Troy and Saoirse Mullet could be turned into works of art with how synchronized they flew through the air. With their keeper out of sort's Scotland's captain and lead beater Thomas McCormack did a fantastic job with keeping Irish Seeker Iwan Quigley at bay. Quigley was spotted in a near spiral that had at first looked like a snitch sighting, but turned out to be that he had completely lost his balance on the broomstick after a volley of hits.

But Scotland could only score two goals against the fully focused Irish squad. Veteran Odette MacFarlan waited as long as she could to grab the snitch, but with Quigley within reach she had no choice but to snatch the snitch from under him. Ireland advances to the finals, but Scotland goes down in history for putting up the battle of a lifetime.

FINAL SCORE:

170 - 180

ENGLAND vs. JAPAN

This match was full of high-speed chases and techniques unique to each team's form of play! To say we were on the edge of our seats would be a lie; everyone on the stadium was on their feet the entire four-hours!

The England chasers kept up pace with Japans spritely trio, but the teams volleyed back and forth for most of the time. Both Keepers were slammed with quaffles, English Keeper Scarlett Rabnott sliding off her broom after a rocket of a shot from Japan's Tanaka Mizuki. England's Felicia Bulstrode showed off her strength with a double-whammy of a shot, knocking one bludger into a Japanese chaser and mere moments later. England's really relying on the ladies this tournament, but fear not, their seeker Matt Summerby, who's never played at this level of game before in his career, kept on Takahashi's broomtails the entire match. The two seekers mad a death-defying dive down the center of the pitch, causing all the hold their breath in anticipation. But, the red and white prevailed!

Oh, the English red and white!

FINAL SCORE:

330 - 160

So there you have it! Our finals on Sunday will include none other than

IRELAND and ENGLAND!

These teams are ready to prove to the world who the real legends of quidditch are!
