TRADES
With one week left before preseason, teams are finally releasing trade deals and Merlin are they good! Read below to get the full update on old faces donning new robes for this 1984 season!

In a move no one saw coming, ODETTE MACFARLAN has stepped down from Montrose Magpies captaincy-- and the team itself! That's right, the seeker of eight years has left the Magpies to don a little bit more color. The KENMARE KESTRELS managed to achieve a seemingly impossible feat, and just in time after loosing their All-Star seeker KENDALL BROADMOOR. How will MacFarlan fair loosing a position of power? Will current captain AXE BROOKSTANTON welcome his former teammate with open arms?

While certainly not new, OLLIE COMSTOCK is a newcomer to the British & Irish Quidditch League. Hailing from the international circuit (the Venezia Vaulters to be exact) for the past couple of years, this 22 year old chaser was picked up by PRIDE OF PORTREE when his contract expired earlier this year. After being abroad for so long will Comstock fly in line with the likes of ARISTA SYKES and MILES LUFKIN? No way to know until the start of practice, but rest assured all are keen on this trade

With GRIFF KIRKHAM finally hanging up his broom, the CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS needed a fresh face to replace their sturdy keeper of over 15 years. And it seems they have found that in SCARLETT RABNOTT, who will join the likes of CARYS LLEWELLYN and TRISTAN BARDERA in this upcoming season. Rabnott played for the Wasps last season, and it is a surprise to us all that anyone would willingly part from the beloved LUDO BAGMAN, but maybe some trades just aren't a match!

The Magpies seem to be cleaning house, as VICTORIA CADWALLADER has also changed teams. She will join JASON LINDSDAY as another recruit acquired for the WIGTOWN WANDERERS by their new captain KENDALL BROADMOOR! No doubt more news concerning this team will slowly begin to pour in, as it seems that Broadmoor won't take no for an answer when it comes to leadership. Which player will be wearing the the red and silver robes next?

Acquiring big name players does usually mean the leaving of big names as well, and with the KENMARE KESTRELS that is no exception. Kenmare has also released a statement stating that KATE DAGWORTH-PEAKES has also been traded-- but to where is still under negotiations. Which team will Dagworth-Peakes be playing for now? Will she return to the Falmouth Falcons, or perhaps make a swing at spear-heading the captainless ship that is the Montrose Magpies? Let's hope this information is made public soon!
