Basics
Lucy Dee Jones
Age: 25
Occupation: Hotel night auditor and T.E.A.M. Leader.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Status: Secretly dating Jude Oriel.
Affiliation: T.E.A.M. (the good guys)
Codename: Watcher
AIM: lucy n teh sky
Anonymous Hacker SN: O100110001000100
Details
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 132
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Wardrobe: Lazy at best. When Lucy isn't in her work uniform (which is usually at least a litte wrinkled) then she's in jeans and a cozy top. Comfort is way more important than style. To date she owns exactly one dress and one pair of heels, both in basic black. She'll never be mistaken for any sort of girly girly. She also rarely bothers with makeup, and has a bad habit of throwing her hair into a pony tail no matter what the occasion.
Eyesight: Nearsighted, wears glasses or contacts to compensate.
Hearing: Good
Left/Right/Ambi: Right
Disabilities: n/a
Distinguishing marks: n/a
Intelligence: Smart
Introvert/Extrovert: Introvert
Faith: None
Phobias/Fears: Drowning, turning out like her mother, losing even more people she loves.
Drinks/Smokes: Both.

Power: Technopathy -- The ability to control and manipulate technology with the mind. Lucy has sucessfully mastered her infiltration of most internet-based technology. She can remain anonymous and untraceable through email, instant messaging, and journal entry. Though government security is a bit much for her, she can easily pry her way into the average person's private stuff. Once she's established a trace to a computer, she can nose her way through any files they might have saved. Lately, she's been working on telephone networks and cable service. She can now send anonymous and untraceable text messages, as well as fiddle around in people's saved phone numbers and texts. Television is a bit tricker, though she can block channels and rearrange shows. It's harder with individual t.v. sets, though she's managed at least once. Eventually, she hopes to be able to send any image through televisions, as well as listen in on people's phone conversations and hack into the FBI database. More info here
Personality
Positive Traits: goal-oriented, intelligent, patient, open-minded, loyal, talented liar, organized, realistic, centered.
Negative Traits: reclusive, paranoid, socially awkward, irritable, cheats at video games, disdainful, generally unfriendly to people she doesn't know and like.
Strengths: good hand/eye coordination, has the disposition to survive a zombie attack, cooking, staying under the radar, keeping her word, would happily sacrifice herself for anyone she cares about.
Weaknesses: being on time, cigarettes and beer, paying attention to things that don’t interest her, trying to control things she can't, holds grudges.

Brief Summary: There are two very distinct sides to Lu. On the outside, she’s sarcastic and unsocial. To anyone she doesn’t know, she comes off as somewhat rude and totally unapproachable. Okay, so sometimes she’s like that even if someone does know her. Somewhere along the line it kind of became a habit to piss people off, and it’s hard to miss that big ‘screw off’ she seems to have tattooed on her forehead. Her surly behavior is mostly a defense mechanism. Rather than becoming emotionally attached to someone, she’d rather keep everyone at arm’s length. It’s just easier for her that way.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s always a jerk to people on the outside. She can be nice, if a little brisk. It’s easy to be put off by the way she handles people, even when she’s not being downright mean. One of the main reasons she works nights is to avoid putting on her 'customer service' face. She's no good at that. Lucy will never be labeled as friendly. Fortunately, she’s got no problem with that. She doesn’t get bothered as much if people think she’s a bastard.

On the inside, she’s a totally different person. Once someone manages to penetrate her hard, uberbitch shell, Lucy will actually warm up to them. She’s got a great sense of humor, and will mercilessly tease the people she's close to. There are some people that she's more open with than others (such as her bestie). As far as they're concerned, she doesn't have a reclusive bone in her body. Sure, she'll still get bitchy from time to time (that's unavoidable), but it always passes when she's around someone she likes.

Lucy's not a bad friend to have. She's a good listener, even if her advice is a bit on the pessimistic side. When it comes to the people she cares about, she'd drop anything and everything to help them out. Most of the time. She can be kind of self-centered, especially if something in her life is going way sideways. It's hard for her to take the focus off of her own problems, though once she does, she'll always backpedal and try to help whoever needed her in the first place.
History
Family: Mickey Jones (father)
Sandra Jones (mother)
Landon Jones (twin brother, [info]passthecuervo)

Brief Summary: Lucy's early life came straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Her father was a banker, her mother a stay-at-home mom. They lived in a big, white house, with a big, black dog, barking away behind a tall picket fence. The Jones family was the envy of everyone on the block, the image of suburban bliss. When Lucy and her brother were born, it only completed that picture. They were the perfect family, living their perfect life. Every year they sent out Christmas cards with their picture on it, along with those annoying family newsletters. It was kind of creepy, actually.

That didn't last a terribly long time. Once the twins learned to walk, things went a bit sideways. While Landon was everything they might have wanted in a child, Lucy was...difficult. She sulked through her piano lessons, refused to participate in soccer, and spent more time jumping on the trampoline than she did practicing gymnastics. The only other child she seemed interested in bonding with was her brother. They were always together, except when their parents enrolled them in seperate activites. Lucy was a constant bad influence, always dragging her brother in to whatever mischevious schemes that she devised. The two of them never got into any serious trouble, though they caused plenty of it.

They fell in to that cliche good twin/bad twin routine. Despite that, their parents never played favorites. If Lucy got sent to the principal for stealing all the 'enter' keys from the computer lab, they didn't give her any more attention than they gave Landon, who got an A on his midterm. That made it even more baffling to the school counselors, who had originally thought that Lucy acted out in order to make her parents pay attention. In reality, she did it because it was fun. There wasn't a whole lot that could keep her occupied for long, so she made up her own games. For all her trouble making, she never fell in with the 'bad kids'. In fact, she never fell in with anyone. She was too busy amusing herself to bother with anyone else.

When she finished high school, Lucy went off to a college close by, mostly because her parents had the money and decided to send her. She plucked a major out of the air, not really caring at the time what she was doing. It was there that she discovered computers, and through them, computer games. For the first time in her life, she became a part of a group (if only because what fun is it to play WoW alone?). Eventually, she made friends with people that she could actually talk to face to face. They introduced her to other, broader gaming systems. Turns out, she was pretty good with a controller in her hand. The only thing she ever bonded with anyone (other than Landon) over was games. She changed her major to computer programming, and became somewhat content with her life. If nothing else, she stayed out of trouble.

She came back to the island a few years before the insanity hit. Well, some people considered it insanity. Lucy actually thinks it's kind of cool. She'd like computers anyway, and now it was way easier for her to cheat. When you can talk to any kind of technology, it's hard to resist the temptation to hand someone's ass to them at Halo.
