Things are certainly bustling about the Ministry! It feels like a very good day to say that my name is officially listed as candidate to replace the interim head as Minister of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. Very exciting, indeed!

And on a almost much more exciting note, Isobel and I are expecting once again! Due in February. She is very radiant (as always).

I feel that I should look into growing facial hair for my post-married life. This is a very radical move, but it seems like a big step in the right direction.

That being said, Isobel! I have some exciting news.

There are some very troubling side effects of too much Italian wine and Muggle pop music.

I believe the words "honey" and "beast" were involved.

Maybe not so troubling?

I'm going to be in so much trouble.

I am also late for work.

It is sometimes very difficult to do my job.

It also sometimes very difficult when you say things you don't necessarily believe you should have said/are not entirely sure how and why you said them.

It also begs the question why you were thinking those thoughts to be said in the first place.

I just--

Sigh.

I don't understand why it is so difficult for some wizards and witches to abide by the secrecy statutes.

It really is as simple as not performing magic in front of Muggles. That's all. It's not tedious, it's not a big hassle, it is merely asking that any and all magic you wish to do is performed in the privacy of your own quarters.

The amount we have to clean up, I mean really, it's ridiculous.

But I bought an owl today! I've had difficulties with that idea, you know, since Octavius died earlier this year. But moving on and changing life and all that other nonsense, right?

He's a proud fellow. He looks a like Miles Gloriosus to me.
