Back Online

We're back online. We did have some nasty windy weather last night which knocked out power multiple times. fortunately we were able to get a backup server online.

There was an issue with one of the configuration files which caused massive looping when you tried to view your journal (everything else appeared to work). The issue has been corrected and now all servers and services are back online and running normally.

We've also added a feature that lets you have all new posts friends only or private or viewable by anyone. You can visit this page and choose from the new drop down menu. Please let me know if it does indeed work or not!

Ah, I did wonder. Mind you, we've been having some gales in Wales too!

Just a thought, I noticed that the adult content filter is included. Is there any way to not have content filtered? I tried looking in settings and couldn't find it. Thanks!

I've tried the new feature (which is really very cool) and it didn't work for me. I updated and it automatically made the post public as usual. And then I tried it with another journal for a community and not only did it not work, but when I went back to the viewing options page, it had gone back to "Everyone (public)." That didn't happen when I was working as a user, but it still didn't work.

Also, my layout disappeared and I was wondering if there was a reason? I still have an early adopter account and I had created S2 layers and styles in the developer area.

I went to test out the feature and I got the same thing, actually. ohhhhwell. It's not all that hard to click the dropdown and set it to FO haha.

Yeah, I don't care too much about my own journal but it would really help in communities that are meant to be friends only because some members can never seem to remember to click that dropdown.

WOW that feature helps meeee outtt :) The FO feature.. I hate constantly changing it to FO so thank you!!

And yeah all of my friends are like omg why is scribbld screwing up all the time. I'm like they're SO new, cut them some slack :) It's quite alright that things went down, I can't blame you because I couldn't do as good of a job as you all anyway haha! Thanks for everything.

Just a heads up (as if I weren't commenting you enough today), I was able to put my layout back up. Maybe eliminating the two S2 styles caused a problem with existing styles? I don't mind either way, as long as I'm not going to have to go in and do it all the time.

You can also do that by imputing "set newpost_minsecurity friends/private/public" or "set for newpost_minsecurity friends/private/public" into the Admin Console. At least, thats what I always do.
