FAMILY HISTORY
Oh, the Peterson family. Well, we are certainly a very lively bunch to say the least. Anyways, I suppose I should start from the beginning. My parents, Annette and Jonathan, met on the first day of their Biology class while attending the University of Oxford. My dad asked her for some paper because he’d forgotten his notebook…or so he said. The rest was history after that really. They dated until completing their courses and were married about half a year later. Not too many months later, my mum found out she was pregnant with me. Lo and behold, 9 months later I was born on April 20, 2006 in the muggle portion of Kent. My dad continued his work as a veterinarian and my mum went back to work a few months later as a dentist.

Growing up on the shores of Kent was a beautiful experience and sometimes I miss being so close to the water. While my parents both had busy careers, they still made plenty of time for me. My dad even taught me how to fish. He probably should have just waited another few years though as my little brother, Ethan, was born when I was 5. I went to the local primary school until I received my Hogwarts letter. They weren’t too keen on sending me away at first, but I learned that I can be quite persuasive…with my parents at least. They were so proud to discover that there was a witch in the family and decided that going to Hogwarts would be my best option. Ethan is still dreadfully jealous to this day of me for that.

Under my parents strict terms and conditions, I have to return to Kent for every holiday season, not that I mind it too much really. It’s amazing to see how much Ethan has grown in the time that I’ve been gone, and I am always happy to answer all of his questions about the wizarding world. My parents even let us bring him along to Diagon Alley once when we were shopping for my school supplies. He nearly soiled himself with excitement, and of course, I gave him hell for it. A lot of my friends at Hogwarts assume I’m not as close with my family because they’re muggles. I don’t find my family to be too embarrassing though. I mean just because they don’t entirely understand the world that I live in doesn’t mean they do not support or love me any less than they did previously. In fact, they even embrace the idea of it now.

When I came to Hogwarts, I was at a disadvantage in some respects. Most of my peers grew up knowing what a Skiving Snackbox was so when I got one on the Hogwarts Express that was certainly an interesting experience. One minute I was telling this girl about my muggle family and next I was having some sort of bad reaction to the candy she shared with me. Thankfully, Quinn was there to force feed the opposing sweet down my throat and later on to explain why Basil Bristow and Rose Weasley were getting so many stares.

I am kind of scared about what’s going on in the wizarding world right now. My good friend, Hayden, from Charms Club owled me about the recent disappearance of various muggleborns in the area. I just hope that nobody at Hogwarts going missing this year. It’s supposed to be one of the safest places in the wizarding world right after Gringotts, but I’m not sure about that ever since reading about events here during Harry Potter’s time.

PERSONALITY
Piper can easily be compared to potential energy if you look at her personality from the scientific view. Once she makes the switch to kinetic though, it’s hard to stop her. Piper’s fiery temper takes a lot to set off though fortunately for her classmates. The majority of the time Piper is very much happy go lucky though. She absolutely hates fighting with people because, in her opinion, it is completely juvenile and a waste of time. A big supporter of compromise, this optimist is a very good listener with a healthy respect for rules. As a result, many people find her advice as well as her opinions to be rather helpful in tough situations.

According to the Sorting Hat, Piper was an easy student to sort. With the embodiment of a Gryffindor she’s fiercely loyal to those close to her and has the heart of a lion. If anyone were to ever hurt one of her friends or Ethan, she would hex them into oblivion. The people who know her best often see a silly side of her in which she loves to laugh and joke around. However, to the average stranger, Piper would probably seem a little bit on the shy side. Unfortunately, her outer kindness often makes it seem as though people can just walk all over her, but that is anything but the case. While she is very honest and trusting, this Gryffindor is not one to be made a fool of. Piper always stands up for what she believes in even if it isn’t so wise for her bloodline.

CURRENTLY IN GAME
Piper is a chaser on the Gryffindor quidditch team and has been since her third year at Hogwarts. While she has a great passion for the game, Piper is also quite the Charms enthusiast being an active member of the Charms Club as well at Hogwarts. She was happy to do exceptionally well on her OWLs and unlike most 6th Years, she’s looking forward to the challenge of NEWT level classes.

Upon her graduation, Piper hopes to become a Healer for St. Mungo’s as she greatly enjoys helping those who need it most including the now endangered muggleborn population. She desperately hopes to help find a cure for memory obliviation on those who have been harmed by the ministry’s tests. Plus, her parents always thought she would grow up to be a solid doctor due to her excelling with science as a child.
