Piper sat in a corner of the common room minding her own business for once. Typically, she was seen in the room chatting with Lily, Jen, or Quinn, but tonight she had homework to do so had secluded herself to a different chair with a nearby table. She scribbled down a few words on her parchment and picked up her textbook back off to table to continue reading up on the importance of nonverbal spells in Transfiguration. She leaned back in her chair and sighed. This must be the most boring assignment I've ever had to endure. The blonde closed her eyes for a moment and allowed her thoughts to travel to images of the ball. She had gotten her costume this past weekend. Now all she needed was a date.
