Steve and Chalie's Excellent Adventure
1) Feeling that they both could use a vacation, Steve somehow manages to convince Charlie to use the Fantastic Four’s time machine to travel back to the Wild West and play cowboy hero.
2) Every western cliché you can imagine. Railroad robbery, high noon shootout, mining camp mayhem, etc. Throughout all of this, they can’t help but feel they’re being watched…
3) Which reaches its climax with a battle with the Living Totem Pole. Which is exactly as silly as it sounds.
4) Steve and Charlie head back to the 21st century only…
5) The world has somehow been made over into monkey world. Patrolled by the Apevengers and other ape-themed versions of the real heroes, this world is ruled by a merciless gorilla named Grodd.
6) Captured and brought before Grodd, Steve and Charlie are imprisoned, but eventually make their escape, with the help of a pair of disturbingly familiar pair of female Apevengers.
7) They have to fight their way through the Ape-tastic Four’s Baxter Building to access their time machine and travel back in time.
8) There, they spend a considerable amount of time shadowing themselves from when they arrived in the past the first time, ultimately preventing the circumstances that caused time to change in the first place.
9) Steve and Charlie return to their proper time, and promise never to speak of any of that again.
