It is a delicate dance to kiss with intention but not to be forceful, to draw one in so that the promise is not delivered entirely with one embrace. Her own experience limited she is grateful that he is taking things slowly but the longer they kiss, the more she wants and despite her care and efforts, the desire bleeds through in how she presses herself to him.
