Of everything, his hands are in the worst shape - he has 'climber's hands' - the muscles knotted and the nails worn far down. The only thing that isn't consistent with someone who has spent a lot of time scaling a mountainside are his fingers, where the calluses have been carefully filed down to not kill the sensitivity in deft fingers, which need every bit of that sensitivity to handle a sword with proper finesse.
He can't help but notice her presence as well, occasionally finding himself leaning into her just a little more, trying to correct himself each time without being too abrupt.
"I do not know how. From what I understand, you have been practicing your arts a very long time."
