You know how bloody great it is to be feeling better? Blasted cold lasted for like 5 days. Still dunno where the hell I got it but at least its gone now. No more staying in bed. I even managed to make it down to Hogsmeade this weekend for a bit. I would've been pretty damn pissed if I'd missed the entire Hogsmeade weekend because I was bloody sick.

PRIVATE TO HARRY
Ginny found out about the whole firewhiskey thing and has made me promise to save her some or at least let her join in next time. Apparently she outdrank Bill in the summer. Not sure if I believe that one but yeah.
END PRIVATE

PRIVATE TO SELF
I'm going bloody insane here. I don't know how much longer I can keep these feelings for her in. Seriously. After the ball, it's just getting really hard not to say anything. She looked so sodding gorgeous and all the dancing and walking and ARG. I have no idea what's going through her head. I have no idea how she feels. I don't even know if she had a good time with me at that sodding ball. Love's too damn complicated.
END PRIVATE

PRIVATE TO GINNY
Did Hermione happen to mention anything at all to you about if she had a good time at the ball or not? Anything?
END PRIVATE

Downside of being sick? (Well, besides the being sick part, naturally.) Missing tons of classes and having to catch up after. I'm drowning in mounds of homework. Stupid bloody essays. I reckon I'll be spending most of tonight catching up on homework and assignments. Oh joy.

How often do we have incredible days that require us to take notice of every moment!

Private to Hermione
Ahem. Mione my love...I have a question for you.

I'd think given all the exciting things recently, it would be quite often lately.

Private to Ginny
And I might have an answer, though I suspect you want something given how much you sugar-coated that. What is it?

Indeed, my bestest mate of all. Indeed...

Private to Hermione
...and it continues. See, a certain gentleman--well, not gentleman, it was Ron--wanted me to break Girl Code and tell him if you enjoyed your time at the Ball. What answer should I give him? That you want him to snog you all night and day, yeah?

Now you're just bordering on absurdity.

I don't see why he doesn't just ask me himself. It's not as if I'm going to tell him I had an absolutely horrible time of it. Nevertheless, I suppose you can break - what did you call it? Right, girl code and let him know that I had a good time.

Because he is a boy. And boys are gits. But I have it on assurance from my mum that one day, he will grow to be a man.

I will tell him that...anything else you want me to nudge him with? Or about? Snog! Snog! Say it!

Given that all boys grow into men, that much was already a given. Though, he has made great strides maturity wise over the past few years, so there's definitely that improvement to be commended upon.

Nothing that I can think of or that he'll even want to hear.

Hermione, it was a figure of speech! A little laugh? Though...you do know Fred and George. They'll hit maturity around fifty. If ever.

Nothing? At all? Bloody sod a dog... Perhaps a tiny nudge that...you fancy him, yeah? Just a hint, mind you! But...? Please?

Fred and George are the exception to that rule, you know that. They absolutely refuse to grow-up and mature, though I suppose I can hardly blame them given how successful they've become with the shop.

Ginny, you know perfectly well how I feel about that. If he were the least bit interested, he would have already acted on his feelings except it'd take him longer because of his lack of confidence. I'd prefer that you didn't.

I'm so stuck. Either I betray a confidence...or...

Have hope, Hermione. You know how I feel on this...that Ron is so lacking in self-esteem...I really swear that one day he'll get the courage to let how he feels shine through. But you know I won't say a thing. Again.
