So, a ball, eh? Least this one's got the whole costume and mask thing. Might make it interesting. And the weird sisters are playing which is wicked. I reckon this ball will be better than the last one. At least I hope so. Ruddy Krum.

I... think I'm going to ask Hermione to this one. As friends maybe. Least I won't get humiliated that way.

I assume you'll be attending this ball with my sister? Be good alright? I don't wanna catch you two snogging on the dancefloor or something. I'm asking Hermione. I think I'm going to ask Hermione... hope that's not weird or anything.

Er...hi. So, um. I reckon I should listen to you this time around and take that advice you yelled at me... This is what you meant right? Damnit. Erm, guess that doesn't make sense unless you know what I'm talking about. So um, yeah. Do you want to go to this ball with me? As my date As friends? I'm not that bad of a dancer, I promise. Mum taught all of us... well, made us learn actually. I just didn't want to dance last time. I will with you, though. So, uh, what do you say, yeah?

Oh, but then Mum would get contacted, and it would all go to sodding hell. Still, the image is pretty great, yeah?

Well, the nervousness keeps you honest. Keeps you excited. Keeps it feeling new every day. It's nice, in a weird way.

Yup. It's even stronger then. Some people call it butterflies. It always feels like my stomach is lifting right out of my body. Makes me feel awake and alive.
