[001] First Day Bliss. Only not.
((ooc:This is take 2 on this, since Scribbld ATE my first one, the bitch.))

While I doubt many people will read this, I suppose I should comply with company policy and update it. I'm really not too certain what to say, honestly. I've kept a paper journal since I was a kid, but it's kinda different when other people are supposed to read what you write, I guess. Ah well, introductions should work well enough for now.

I'm Minato Namikaze and I've just started in the Setting and Props department. I'll be working hard to make sure your scenes aren't the generic crap you usually see in porn, but something to add to the...visual experience, I suppose. If you have anything constructive to add about previous sets I'm all ears. Actors, directors, camerapeople, and editors alike, really. Do some props just get in the way? Are some angles made difficult to capture because of the setup but it can't be moved around without disrupting the scene? Extra or less lighting needed? Poorly placed reflective surfaces that either reflect the wrong thing(such as...the crew) or cause glare on the actors, either of which would need to be edited out? Drop me a line and I'll see what I can do to not repeat past mistakes.

Right, so, I'd love to say I had a wonderful first day and my coworkers are such lovely people. However, I hate liars and I'm rather fond of myself, so I'd hate to have any conflict there. Let's just say Murphy's Law had a field day with me today when it came to directions and props. I am so glad to be home and not afraid of getting hit with a used condom anymore you have no idea. And really, checking my ID that many times was far from necessary. I know for a fact that I no longer look like frickin' jailbait. I've come to terms with the fact that I will likely never look my age, but honestly guys. I'm almost certain it was an attempt to simply annoy me. I at least look as old as the rest of you, though I recall being far more mature at your age than you are being. Alas, I will still have my revenge.

Have fun with eye-blinding yellow. ♥ And my apologies to those who were not involved...though I think I rather like this color.

There was one upside to my day, though. Saw this one guy in a business suit walking down the hall near the end of lunch. Didn't get a chance to see the front of him since he walked by so quickly, but I was quite content to continue looking at the back of him as he walked away. Well, until I fell off the wall and onto someone else. Sorry again, miss, if you're reading. I was going to try chasing him down to have a chat, but sadly he was gone by the time I got back up. While I guess most people would look to the actors for eye-candy, but I guess I'm a little more old-fashioned. Plus, the fact that he was wearing a nice suit means he's likely closer to my age than the majority of the people I've met while working on the second floor, which is a definite plus. So thank you, Mr. Business Suit, for being a bright moment in my day.

Hmm. Being rather new in town I'd normally ask what restaurants around here are good, but anybody who's kept reading to this point would probably recommend me poison in revenge for the death of their retinas. Luckily I have a strong stomach. ♥

[Private to Self]

No sign of Naruto today. ...Though that could be a good thing, given how my day was. I've heard a few stories, though. Not sure how much to believe or not just yet, but I'll keep it stored anyway. Maybe I'll see him at some point tomorrow.

...I still have no idea what I'm going to do. Which terrifies me.

I rather enjoy challenges, and your grumpy, prickly attitude of earlier seemed like one. As such, I accepted it in a light-hearted nature. As stated, my intention was a gentle ribbing, not to impose insult. Text is a little harder to gauge that sort of thing in, I suppose; and though I'm good at reading between the lines, I more than willingly admit I'm nowhere near omnipotent.

Finding out and being told are indeed different, yes. However, I'd never met anyone before who was insulted when you were willing to put in a little extra effort to find out about them. Well, unless they'd done something wrong, but I figure that doesn't apply here. You caught my attention, and I followed it.

Haha! I'm thirty-five, which really isn't all that old, especially if you don't plan to let yourself fall into the sedentary mindset of being old. It's just that I still look like I'm in my early twenties. And it took until I was about twenty-eight for people to actually believe I was an adult on first meeting. I still have a hard time being taken seriously, despite the fact that I do indeed have a fair amount of life experience, and it's frustrating. So...it's more just a bit of a sore spot for me, and when it's poked too much I get grumpy. And the revenge thing? In truth, yellow's my favorite color. And I figured the only people who would read my journal would be my immediate coworkers who previously made me grumpy, so if attempting to stare at my journal scheme irks them at all then it's a rather amusingly harmless strike back. While there are definitely things in life that deserve full sobriety and seriousness, if you live the rest of life steeped in such then you really will be old before your time. Thus, if people poke fun at me about something that isn't serious, I very readily poke right back.

Actually, I only really looked all the way through the first post. I'd opened the last several figuring that the name thing was more of a game and that it would be challenging, so was slightly surprised when it wasn't. While what I did find only made my curiosity grow, your response to it made me rethink looking further into your journal. You apparently don't take it as a compliment when someone takes interest enough to do the research and aren't simply making a game of it, and much prefer to tell people about yourself instead. As such, I'll respect that and refrain from delving into past entries further or reading others' replies to any future posts you make - despite my curiosity - alright? And hearsay is the sort of thing I'd rather not believe, thank you kindly. I let a person make their own impression, not blindly believe idle gossip.

If I am wasting my time, then it is free time that is mine to waste if I so choose. And my attention is still caught.

The last person that said I was interesting and wanted to know me, left me looking like a fool and feeling like I was nothing more than a game to them. Excuse me for not believe anything you say.

That...was seriously fucked up of them. I'm sorry such a thing happened to you. I sincerely hope you will not dwell on it for long and can forgive the rest of the human race for one person's idiocy. He or she surely missed out.

While treating much of life as a game can be fun, people's emotions aren't toys.

I understand, and I am truly sorry if I made you feel that way myself. It was not my intention. I'll...stop chattering at you, for now but not forever. I don't take back my words, though.
