[002] Dedication.
You know it's dedication when seven of your friends drive three hours to manhandle you out of your apartment to get you piss drunk on your birthday.

The fuckers.

Work was not fun today, though it was not work's fault this time. ...Ow.

I hope they had fun catching this as it rolled around the living room this morning after I left, (hopefully) waking them from drunken stupor.

Your lack of discipline is astounding. Like a child.

I have plenty of discipline...when awake. When I sleep I am dead to the world save for a few very, very specific sounds.

To be childlike in sleep does not sound like so much of an insult.

For someone who can enjoy their sleep but still get up without any hassle every day, it is not impressive when an adult lacks the discipline.

Well, perhaps I consider you luckier than I in that respect.

Or less foolish. Perhaps you'd feel better if you didn't allow yourself to get hangovers.

I definitely would. And I generally don't. But I was held down and had a shot poured down my throat...more than once. I eventually lost count and with that goes all semblance of refusing more drinks, sadly.

Yes, I could have been more firm about it, but hey. Birthdays come once a year. I can stand the hangover from Hell once a year.

So you're saying your weak and can't protect yourself? If you get hangovers easily, I assure you, you will not only have one if you continue working here. Many employees and bosses enjoy giving out alcohol

Well hello there, typos. ♥

Not at all. But while on one hand I wouldn't actually want to hurt any of my friends, on the other it was seven to one and two of them are pretty much twice my size so possibly more like nine to one.

I'm usually very careful not to imbibe past my limits, and thankfully recover quickly in most cases. I have a vast amount of self-control.

If they were trying to force me to do something, I would not have a problem with it.

[Is...a little confused by that.]

...You wouldn't have a problem with someone forcing you to do something?

[Maybe he's one of those people who's into that... In this company, who knows.]

Ah. Right. That...makes more sense. "It" was a little vague.

If it were something that I was totally against, I wouldn't have qualms about harming the ones forcing me to do something irregardless of who they were. But it was drinking alcohol. The worst that would happen? Hangover at work the next day. So it was mostly a laughing struggle that ended with me calling them bastards and getting drunk.

There can be other consequences possible as well. I suppose you pick and choose your moments. At least you came to work.

oh, hey, I thought I responded to this... >|

If I didn't trust them to keep an eye on me, then I suppose. But I do.

And of course I did. [that would be an offended huff. :P]

Lucky you're not an actor, and don't have to deal with the set lights on you. If your head hurts, I recommend getting a bacon sandwich for lunch. It will help.

I'm glad I'm not an actor for more reasons than that, but that's another good one. And I'm okay now since it's evening, just a small headache still. ...I might get one of those anyway, though. [omg, bacon.]

I'm sure there are many more reasons why you are not. Hopefully your headache will be gone by tomorrow.
