Flashback- Age 7
Eiltin woke up in his pile of furs with Ruarc next to him. His little pup was growing bigger all the time not that he really noticed. Well not until someone pointed it out to him. Though the fact that he couldn't easily hold him in one arm should have been a clue or that he was at least as big as him when he stood on his hind legs. But Ruarc was his only real friend and he was almost never without him and even then he never liked to be too far away from him. Plus from the stories he had been told Ruarc didn't seem to like been away from him either. He had never seen Ronan so fluster before but apparently Ruarc had made quite a mess of the smithy.
He petted Ruarc and pulled him close to him. He was glad to get to sleep in today. Scathach had given him the day off from training so he was going to have as much fun as he could that day. Making himself get up and dressed Eiltin got out of his room to where breakfast was prepared for him and his father. Ruarc was of course following right behind him wagging his tail excitedly for food.
