Eiltin was really excited for today, Scathach told him that she had a big surprise for him. So he had woken up early of course and was running around like wild driving his poor dad crazy who just wanted some sleep after a late night out of Lier. He kept on asking him questions about what his surprise was and none of Caber's usual topic changing was working on Eiltin. So needless to say Caber was rather glad when Scathach came by his home to pick up Eiltin.
"Scatty. My lovely red haired master warrior. Please tell me you are ready to take Eiltin," Caber says to her, "He has become a real handful wanting to find out you're surprise for him."
Scathach laughs. "Yes everything is all set," She says.
"Really we can go now," Eiltin says all excited.
"Yes my young warrior," She says, "This is a very big and important surprise for you." She focuses her power creating a portal of shadows behind her. "This way."
"Go on enjoy yourself Eiltin," Caber says grinning happily before Eiltin rushes through the portal after Scathach.
Eiltin finds himself on an island of the otherworld he has never been to before and looks around in awe. "Welcome to the isle of the hounds, home of the Cú Faoil. There's just been a litter and I want to see if maybe one of them might want you as an owner."
Eiltin had the biggest grin across his face and was having trouble standing still at this point. "Really. I might get a puppy."
"This way little one," She says as she leads Eiltin the puppies and their mama. "Just ask the mother for permission and play with the puppies and see what happens."
Eiltin ran over the the mother Cú Faoil, with her puppies at play all around her, that just standing normally had almost a foot on him in height. "Can I play with your puppies," Eiltin asks her as respectfully as a seven year old can manage. She looks him over sensing that he means her and puppies no harm before giving him a nod to the affirmative.
Eiltin grins happily and starts playing around with the puppies which lasts for several hours. It was quite adorable to watch even Scathach had to admit. More than a few time he got tackled and piled up on by the puppies and gave him kisses. But by the end of it there was one that seemed inseparable from Eiltin and Eiltin seemed to really like as well. It was the runt of the litter which surprised her a little but knowing Eiltin made sense that they would bond.
