Sinister World |
[24 Nov 2010|03:12am] |
- Franklin Richards is mysteriously kidnapped before returning the Baxter Building after classes and is missing for an as of yet undetermined period of time.
- During this period of time, multiple strange occurrences happen all over the world. They are random situations where reality becomes warped. These can be good or bad, and be plot devices of their own.
- At the end of this period of time, reality is altered so that Mr. Sinister rules the world as the perfect mutant. His top underlings are the Summers brothers and Jean Grey. Mutants are the dominant species of the planet, and most humans are hunted down for experimentation or are killed on sight.
- The Fantastic Four, and a number of other characters, remain unaffected by the change in reality. Everyone else is affected by the change and is either a resistance member, dead, or part of Sinister's army.
- The people who are still conscious of their True Reality are put into conflict with the existing reality and eventually find their way to each other and share what they have learned or already know about what it going on. It comes without saying that the F4 pretty much knows by now, through the power of deduction, that Sinister kidnapped Franklin and is using him to maintain this reality. They decide that they need to take down Sinister and find and free Franklin. Any characters people choose to be changed by the reality manip and are still good guys can also be a part of this gathering.
- The good guys fight the bad guys. It's no surprise that Sinister knows they are coming, and is prepared to take them on with all of his minions. This includes the Summers brothers and Jean Grey. If there are not many volunteers for others to be minions, then some other NPCs will be put to use.
- There is a main force that is in the battle, and then there is one that looks for Franklin, who is comatose and hidden within Sinister's castle. While the main fight is going on, the squad looking for Franklin eventually will, and will try to wake him up. I suggest having a pretty good telepath on board here. The good guys should not be winning against Sinister at all, since he has grafted this reality to make him perfect. In fact, anyone directly fighting him should be on the losing side.
- Franklin wakes up, and alters reality once more. This time, he manages to get exactly what he wants, and reality is reverted back to what it was before he went missing. Except, he had made one significant change; he does not have powers anymore (or so he thinks), and any memories in anyone regarding his powers and the things they have done have been erased. At a later point in time, he will regain his powers, but he won't know that. Franklin will also lack the memory of ever having powers.
Clarification on memory stuff: There will be recollection of this event, and any previous use of Franklin's powers are chalked up to freak reality issues. Only a select few, special circumstances would remember anything.

The Lost Children |
[29 Oct 2010|10:59pm] |
THE LOST CHILDREN the return of nanny and orphan-maker News reports of missing mutant children and their murdered parents hit the streets and there are no known suspects.
(optional)Mutants from various hero teams start to go missing, although their parents are still safe.
The X-Men and X-Factor, the two most well-known mutant teams, each start investigations on the happenings. While out investigating, both teams are attacked by some of the missing mutants. They fight them off, and one of the teams captures one of their attackers (I prefer this be X-Factor, since X-Factor has done nothing for awhile). They contact Franklin and ask him to help them dig in the captured mutant's head and figure out who is behind the incidents. Franklin will alleviate the control over the mutant while also finding out that Nanny and Orphan-Maker are responsible.
Franklin and X-Factor contact the X-Men, who then contact some of their friends to take down Nanny and Orphan-Maker, and free the mutants under Nanny's control. Good telepaths would be something useful here, if anybody wants to have a moment of glory.
Bad guys are tracked down, and the militia of min controlled mutants are fought, subdued, and freed. Nanny and Orphan-Maker escape, to be at large for later.
