John?
Paul?
George?
Ringo?

This baby naming thing is a lot harder than I thought it'd be :(

I thought it would be so easy! But it feels like nothing fits? Shouldn't I, you know--know?

Well, there are about 1,000,000,000,000+ names out there to choose from... It took me about a week and a half to name my goldfish when I was 7, and by the time I got around to 'Fishy' the poor thing was already floating on the top of the tank.

And I'm not helping, am I?

I promise, we'll think of a name for him before he's born.

BUT WHAT IF WE DON'T AND HE ENTERS THE WORLD NAMELESS AND WITHOUT AN IDENTITY OF HIS OWN?

That could leave such emotional scars!!!!!!

We could always name him ‘Anonymous’ – give him an air of mystery, and make people truly wonder who things are from when he signs a letter…though something tells me that’d be more scarring to the boy than having no name at all.

You're surprised by this...? Were you listening at all when I shared the tale of epic and heartbreaking tale of 'Fishy' with you?

I'm just trying to prevent you from having a stroke before this baby is born, just because he doesn't have a name yet. Key word: yet.

What about...Kale? Or Jack?

DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT I AM THE SIZE OF A HOUSE AND MY EMOTIONS ARE RUNNING HIGH AND WILL YOU JUST LET ME BE CRAZY FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS!!! HUSH! Every expecting mother has these frets and I will not have a stroke by worrying about the name of my future child because it is a VERY IMPORTANT THING TO ME RIGHT NOW!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I love Jack!! But there are so many Jacks I feel like! I know at least three! Broderick Jack? Or---no that's no good. And Kale reminds me of a salad.

Why Matthew Broderick sound so nice! But still so wrong?

Kale reminds you of...a salad?

I'd understand if I had offered 'Cobb' or 'Iceburg' as a suggestion, but I don't associate Kale with leafy greens.

It could have a nice ring to it, being all 'This is Jack Dorny, our son.'

Oh, maybe...Jackson?

Kale is a leafy green! It's a kind of cabbage! You need to eat healthier, boy!

THIS IS KALE

Also...

He shall be epic.

Just promise me right now he won't be called 'Jackie Boy', and when he turns 5 no one will make jokes involving Tito, Jermaine, Michael, or any of the other Jackson's.

Jackson! Jackson Broderick! JACKSON BRODERICK DORNY!!

I feel like it's so classic but also a bit different and it can have really cute nicknames and I've been practicing using it in a scolding tone for when he one day knocks over a vase and it sounds so intimidating!!
