7/17/08 02:54 am - Tom Petty kicks ass.

Wow. Tom Petty was amazing.

It's a shame that there's, like, no room to move around in the Forum. Otherwise, my ass would have been out of the seat more!

(Not in order, except for the encore. Might have forgotten one. I'll maybe adjust it later)
Setlist:
You Wreck Me
Even The Losers
Sweet William
Free Fallin'
Listen To Her Heart

Mary Jane's Last Dance
I Won't Back Down
You Don't Know How It Feels

Encore:
Runnin' Down A Dream
Mystic Eyes
American Girl

Holy crap. That's all I can say. He put on a phenomenal show. Dude, even Steve Winwood was awesome. He played pretty much all the songs I wanted him to play. When Petty started playing "Runnin' Down A Dream" I started freaking out. That's MY SONG ! You had to be there. If you weren't, sucks to be you. I think the show was sold out.

One thing I was kind of bummed out about though: the price-gouging on merch. I would have expected the t-shirts to be $20, maybe $25. Nope, not even close. They were a whopping $40! What is this, Russia? I don't think the dollar is THAT worthless just yet guys! So, I passed. :(

Yay, I'm excited to see Tom Petty later today. I hope he plays some of the classics, especially "Runnin' Down a Dream" because that's my song. This might be his last tour so I'm honored to see it :D

Also, AMERICAN LEAGUE WINS AGAIN (woot) and Dan Uggla is made of fail (three errors lol). Also, Evan Longoria owns you. The end. :)

So I moved into my new house yesterday. That's the last time I have to put up with annoying gay guys next door playing awful showtunes and being whiners, thugs waking my ass up at five in the morning fighting, and seeing the police outside my building every week.

It feels good. Course, there's a ton of boxes laying around, and our brand spanking new tv (42" HD LCD!) doesn't have a stand yet. But it's all good. The cat's still freaking out though. She's being all bipolar. One minute, she's extremely affectionate. The next, she swipes at you for petting her. She's usually mellow and laid-back, it's weird. And she hasn't used the litter yet.

Going to go see Dethklok after Chris gets home. Hurray!

Radiohead concert was awesome. Rough start though -- the Ford Amphitheatre reneged on its camera policy and I had to go check it at guest services and the stairs security guards were kinda being douchey.

The opening band? WORST THING EVER. EVER. I wanted to throw things at them. During one song...he sounded like TOWELIE, I shit you not. Cut to three whole minutes of me laughing my ass off and saying Towelie things like "Wanna get high?" in between fits of chortling.

Radiohead more than made up for it though. Awesome light show, and plus they played Just, Exit Music, and The Bends. The whole crowd was entranced and all concerts worth their weight in gold can't go without smelling weed in the air!

Well, my friends, tomorrow morning I'm heading off to Virginia.

When I get back, I'm going to be old and married okay? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

5/5/08 07:18 pm - Fifty Songs for April/May (aka the Work Playlist)

WOO I'M GOING TO SEE RADIOHEAD TOMORROW! :D

Fifty songs I've been listening to recently (last list was made in February). Most of 'em I've been listening to at work, haha. That's probably you see so many angry songs on here :P

It's a whole laundry list. )

Ticketmaster and their additional fees are ridiculous.

I just paid $55.60 in additional fees for two tickets to see Tom Petty (which were $52.25 a piece). That's like buying a while 'nother ticket AND a drink.

Bollocks, I say, it's highway robbery. But this will probably be my last chance to see Tom Petty, ever. I think this might be his last tour.

But still, argh Ticketmaster. *shakes fist at Ticketmaster*
