The atmosphere of 'Death Take Us All!' Can be difficult to transition out of, sometimes. Meggan was still even taller and stronger than usual as they were all trying to settle down and ... gather newspapers and food and stuff. Meggan was good at finding food, at least. She'd had to be.
The punk in the alley with the gun wasn't any real threat. Not when it was just the two of them there. But Meggan's sense of proportion wasn't always the best even when it was good. Her teeth and claws were getting longer.

Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Kate
Character Name: Meggan Puceanu Character LJ (if applicable): screamofthemoth Physical description (face, build, weight): Blond. Varying eye colors. Thin brown fur. Claws. Pointed ears. Height varies by circumstances. Age: 21 PB: (If using one.)
Abilities: The bases of Meggan's abilities are the following: empathy, an elemental link to nature and mystical energies, and shapeshifting, with lots of bleedover, which could essentially make her an empathic/elemental megametamorph. However, since Meggan's opinion is basically 'sod that iridescent butterfly malarkey,' her abilities operate in a much different direction than her 616 counterpart.
Meggan's emotional decisions lead her to reject the broader things she's been told about the nature of her powers, and instead thinks of herself as just a freak who's preternaturally genre-savvy -- or would, if she knew words like 'preternaturally' and 'genre-savvy'. Between the moods and everyone around her and lots and lots of television, she's good at adapting her physical and even external abilities to whatever narrative she's seeing -- just the ones where she's truly beautiful and amazingly powerful tend to stretch the suspension of disbelief too much, in her opinion.
She can nearly always fly, and often has superhuman animalistic reflexes with her claws. Other physical changes and 'tricks' depend entirely on circumstances.
Her combat training is very rudimentary, but she's quite good at fighting dirty.
Weaknesses and flaws:
Meggan has no formal education, very little informal education, and some mental health problems.
The form she considers real (and thus the one she adheres to in basics unless she's in a very unusual emotional state or must force herself into a disguise) definitely stands out in a crowd.
Her forms and power-tricks are based solely on a traumatized, illiterate, soap-opera-addicted girl's emotional interpretation of ambiance and archetypes in any particular circumstance.
Character location/Home: None Alignment (villain, hero etc): Heroine. Sort of. Relatives (living/dead?): Mr. And Mrs. William Puceanu, (parents, living)
Backstory: Meggan Puceanu grew up exactly like her 616 counterpart: born in a blizzard in Hampshire to a mixed Irish Traveller and Romanichal family, stuck in the back of the family caravan because she'd adapted to the cold with fur, and every confused explanation the extended family came up with just made her more monstrous in empathetic reaction. As a teenage prisoner of the Jaspers regime, developed a huge crush on Captain Britain via stories in the camps. Unable to find her family after the crisis was over, befriended the Scott siblings and was howling at the moon on impulse, leading to a fight with a confused Captain Britain in which Mickey Scott ended up collateral damage.
Meggan's emotional reaction was much different than the way it could have gone. The crush ended, and after the funeral Meggan went off alone to find her family. With no distractions except one or two temporary collaborations with other British superhumans (including Allison Double, who tried to explain to Meggan the nature of her powers and was met with affectionate dismissal) and occasionally lurking in shadows to help people -- often reported as a vaguely-benevolent but still horrifying supernatural event similar to the 'Mothman' urban legend -- she eventually did. Somehow, the world got by, to one extent or another, with a much different version of Excalibur.

616: I've always had a crush on Captain Britain. But when I met him things went real bad, and Mickey died. Captain Britain and I apologized to Mickey's parents at the funeral and they didn't blame us. I'm still not sure I'll ever forgive myself. ... Then one day, Allison said I had the soul of an 'iridescent butterfly.' I thought about that for a while, and then stuff happened and now I'm so pretty, and Brian noticed, and he loves me too!
646: I always had a crush on Captain Britain. Then I met him. He attacked me because I howled at the moon, and I freaked out and fought back like a stupid kid, and Mickey ended up dead. I apologized to Mickey's parents at the funeral; he did too, I'll give him that. Still, as ways to get over a first crush go, it was pretty fucking brutal. Mickey's family don't blame us. I guess when you're a good enough person, you can turn off part of your brain or something. ... Heh. So this one time, Allison said I had the soul of an 'iridescent butterfly'. Poor Allison. I know she's psychic and all, but she's been through more hell than me and now she can barely think straight. Now a moth, maybe. I got the flying and the fuzz and the night and everything. They're both dumb-as-muck bugs and I won't argue that, but 'least a moth -- the wings, the cocoon, the little deelyboppers on the head, all of it -- looks like it can keep warm, 'stead of like it's just begging someone to break it.
