#1 That was... Interesting.
Okay, I knew the place was big but... You've got a whole floor dedicated to a pool? That seems a bit much unless we're using it for the films too... I do love the archives.

Then again, there's a reason I left L.A. for this place. Wasn't expecting something so extravagant though.

... I wonder if they'll let me bring Pakkun in.

Now that would be useful. However, either way you look at it, she's taking somebody's job. Although, who needs an absolutely gorgeous assistant? You have to admit, the porn industry would probably have more use for pretty-bots...

Porn is the only industry that wants to fully... explore this side of robotics. Most feel that making machine in man's image is sinful, but I believe they watch too many sci-fi movies. Robots won't become self-aware any time soon. If ever.

Agreed. Although I disagree about only the porn industry having an interest. I'm sure the military would have some use for interactive robots. Better than using animals anyway...

The military prefers small machines for covert operations over large, bulky, life-sized ones.

I suppose. I wonder about rescue operations, would they just use remote operated vehicles or... I think humanoid robots would be for good use there?

I think in those sorts of difficult situations... the level of robotics couldn't perform as quickly as a human could, and in split-second decisions, if it's seen thought a monitor the the human does the command, then even if seconds go by, it's too late. It's not that I don't see the use and importance of robotics, obviously I endorse them fully, but there are certain things only humans can do. I'd rather be saved by a person than a robot.

Maa, you're probably right. Humans do react much faster for now, I guess I was just influenced by too many sci-fi movies. ^.^

Sci-fi movies are great inspirations, though. Things to strive for. This field of study runs on imagination.

True. Let's just not aspire to the Terminator or Matrix, yes?
