Sarita's grasp of reading English wasn't perfect, but she knew enough to get by. Her search hadn't been going well so now she found herself having to look for cheap, edible food. It shouldn't be too hard considering how much Mom and her had had to scrape.

Physical description (face, build, weight): 5'4 1/2 in. Short but curvy.

Abilities: Sarita has inherited many of her father's powers. She can her body into a sandlike state. In this form she is immune most forms of physical damage. Like her father she can form constructs from her hands such as hammers, maces, etc. Her transformation is different in her father's in an important respect, while Sandman was essentially a being of sand with flesh-like properties, Sarita is fully human and can transform into such a state at will. As a result, she only has a weakness to water while in her sandform. It is possible she could learn some of her dad's more complex abilities, though she has yet to push herself that far. She also knows basic street-fighting skills taught to her during Baker's frequent visits.
Weaknesses and flaws: Sarita is unaware of the full extent of her abilities. She has yet to manifest the power to convert normal sand into her own body so she can not heal injuries in this manner..yet. She has the same weakness to water that her father has, though only in her sandform. If she were stripped of her powers she could hold her own against common thugs, but better trained opponents would have little problem.

Backstory:
During his membership in the mercenary team, the Wild Pack, Baker joined his teammates on a Mission to Columbia to rescue hostages from FARC rebels. One of the hostages was Linda Martinez, a former rebel disenfranchised with the group's methods. She helped the Wild Pack free the hostages and afterwards she and Baker had a fling. Sarita was born from this tryst. When Baker found out he had a daughter, he frequently returned to Columbia to spend time with her. This continued over the years until it was over a year since his last visit when Sarita became suspicious. Her mother had no idea where he was neither. Unknown to both women, Sandman had been kidnapped and brainwashed by the Wizard at this time with one of the side-effects being that he no longer remembered he had a daughter. As a result, Sarita became determined to find out what happened. While reluctant to have her daughter leave at first, when Sarita manifested her powers protecting her mother from a FARC retributive attack, Linda became convinced Sarita could look after herself. Linda told her daughter that her dad had been a member of the Wild Pack when they met, and told her that was where she should look first. Sarita was initially recruited to rescue ANya Stark from the Mandarin and after success she was invited to join Anya's Thunderbolts team, but Sarita left due to wanting to find her father and the Wizard immediately. With no luck since, Sarita has opened contact with Nicolai Sablinova, her father's former employer's son, about a way to find the pair she's looking for. He suggests working with the Avengers. The decision is made that Sarita's powerset could give the west coast team a needed boost, Sarita sent to start working with the west coast team.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Sarita will make contact will make contact with Nicolai about finding the Wizard, he recommends working with one of the Avengers teams.
What are you planning to do with this character? Her initial quest is to learn what happened to her father and afterwards try to find and correct what the Wizard did.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: grow into the role of Avenger and eventually find and cure her father.

Sarita had finally covinced her mother to tell her what little she knew about her father. Her dad had been a member of the Wild Pack, a mercenary group, when they met. They were the only think Sarita had. Her mother took her to some friends of hers who'd be able to give Sarita contact information for the organization. Apparently it had expanded since her father's day and was now an international company calld Silver Sable International. As such it was easier than expected to gain their contact information. Mother and daughter had returned home, where Sarita was now staring at their phone.
"Honey, if you don't want to..." Linda began.
"No..no I'm okay Mom. I have to do this." After another moment of hesitation, she dialed the number she'd been provided with.
