As I can tell, by the time she told me it'd been at least a few days since the fact, with no word except 'We're moving to Montrose!' to tip me off. Which it didn't, because normal people don't just decide to up and get married out of the blue and not mention it to their families. I don't think even Dad and Mum know, but that's going to bloody well change--and if she thinks I'm being hard on her, just wait until she has to deal with Mum's sobbing.
