| | Flobots - Stand Up | ] | I never really updated about this the other night, even though I was so excited about it. Wednesday, Phil and Glen came over, and we jammed with Mike, which I guess could be considered a first like, official band practice. We worked on a song Phil wrote, just trying to get everything down, and putting drums to it. Here's Phil, playing the guitar part of the song, and the drums are pretty much what you hear in the video, just with a little more work put into them.
So yeah. We're gonna keep working on it next week.
I feel really sick, and I don't know why. I feel like I have a fever or something, and my stomach's been bothering me all morning. I'm gonna see how I feel before my class at 2. Might just rest until work.

| | Clint Mansell - Winter: Lux Aeterna | ] | I reeeeeeally wanna take Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna" (from the Requiem For A Dream soundtrack) and put some drums to. Like, keep the song the same, just add something cool in the background. Don't get me wrong, the song's amazing the way it is, but for some reason, kinda like what Travis Barker did with those rap songs, putting real drums to it could expand on it a bit. I'm about to go and take some pictures of my kit, so I'll post those here. |

| | Light This City - The Anhedonia Epidemic | ] | I'm not sure if I find it ironic or downright pathetically funny, maybe both, when HBO says they "Take Comedy Seriously", and the only things they're advertising are Lisa Lampanelli, who is right on the bottom of my list, along with Dane Cook, of talented comedians, and Meet The Spartans. I mean... that's gotta be some prank or something, right? By saying the take comedy seriously, and advertising the two shittiest things they can think of?
Oh... dear god... they weren't kidding.
Fuck you, HBO. Fuck you.
