i'd go the whole world just to find her.
PLAYERS' RULES1. This is a game. Games are supposed to be fun. Drama isn't fun. Are you catching this train?
Don't cause us drama. We're saving all
our drama for our mamas. Do the same, please!
2. There is no age limit. That being said,
make sure you're mature enough to handle dark themes. There will be death - after all, this is Harry Potter. Even though we're all for fun, the game will have its serious moments.
3. This rule should be a given, but you'd be surprised.
Don't alienate your fellow players. This is in the same vein as no drama, but it's so important it gets a separate number. If there's a problem, come to a mod. We don't bite.
4.
Five characters is the limit right now. While you can take up two characters from one house, you cannot take up two characters from the same house, in the same year, with the same gender. For example, you cannot play both Su Li and Lisa Turpin, or Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. Also, you can have up to FOUR students, and no more. So you could have three students, and two adults, or four students and one adult, or some mix of the two.
5. Please
put your character's information in a journal entry - under a cut, of course!.
CHARACTERS' RULES1. Hello! Know how to spell, please. And you know what? Grammar is fun! We understand if your character is supposed to be stupid (Crabbe or Goyle, for example), but
don't abuse the English language. Or any other language, for that.
2. This is 1997. Your character doesn't know about House, iPods, or
Twilight.
Be realistic. Also, using British slang is awesome.
3.
Be active! Update your character's journal at least once every two weeks. If you don't, we will give you a friendly reminder. If you don't update after this, you go on the sweeps list. Those who are on the sweeps list will be notified at the end of each month, and if you don't update by the date we give you, your character will be removed from the game. If you're on the sweeps list an ungodly amount of times (more than three, say), we will remove you from the game, regardless of whether or not your other characters are active. You will be able to reapply.
GAME RULES1.
When posting logs and owls, make sure they're posted to quivive. For logs, make sure you label them with four W's - Who, what, where, and when. You could even include why.
2.
Things that have a strike through them are unreadable. Assume they are inkblots.
3. As of right now,
journal entries cannot be hexed private. Perhaps that will change! Hmmm.
4. Okay! The last rule. No, it isn't have fun, but you had better. Anyway, the last rule: We would really appreciate it if
you kept journal entries and things posted in the RPG community open. Things that are posted OOC can be locked or left open.
