Test thread: Coming home.
The airline staff were helpful and the other passengers had cleared efficiently. That was always nice. Once they'd gotten her into her own chair again, she could finally get moving.

And move she did.  It felt good, but getting home where she could actually get around for real was going to feel better.

She looked around for Dad or anyone of the Xavier's gang he might have sent to meet her if something'd come up..

"They're certainly much better than I am, but then I stopped trying very hard after discovering what a bad idea it is to try to stand on the oven door handle while working the stove." Pause for effect. "There may have been something of a mess."

Sylvie then listens to Cait and laughs. "Ah, but who didn't?"

He grins at the mental image that brings up. "Ok, that makes some sense. And I'm getting the idea that Misha being the one boy up for playing house made that a common occurance. As for Cait and the boys, I'm sure one of them will come to their senses before too long."

"Yeah, Misha was one of the very few boys around when we were young. He married all of us." Cait smiled at the memory.

"Us? Drakes? Come to our senses? It'll never happen!" They made their way rather quickly through the airport. It didn't take too long to get to baggage claim.

"IT did indeed."

Sylvie grinned and winked. "I think he means all those non-Drake boys intimidated by the trilingual aquatic powerhouse."

"Mine's the pink one." She says as the luggage starts. "I'm sure you're shocked. Try to tell me that's not easy to spot"

Lucas goes to work fetching her luggage.
"I did indeed mean the boys. You'd be quite the catch for someone, after all."

"Naw. The only chance for one of us to date is Rufus. Corey's too into his art and me, I'm going to be too busy with the Coast Guard. Right now Rufus is too intent on raising hell."

"Gee. Pink. Who would have thunk it?"

"The Coast Guard? Absolutely perfect for you!"

"Thousands of flamingos can't be wrong, Cait. Why, thank you, Lucas," she adds as he's acquired it.

"No problem, I'm happy to help out. And you make the pink look good, certainly. I'm also looking forward to hearing about your trip, at some point."

"Mom and Dad didn't like the fact that I'm quitting school to join, but they weren't too upset."

"She's loved pink since she was about two. I want to hear about your trip too. It had to be awesome. The only place I've been to in Europe was when we all went to Rome."

"I certainly like to think I do."

"If they didn't completely panic, I'd call it a win. Your dad, if you ask me, doesn't like surprises quite as much when they happen to him." She says it with great affection, obviously.

"Oh, it was awesome. I did a little time in Rome, too -- obviously not the same time, or I'd have been there to show you around. Favorite thing there, oddly enough, was probably seeing the Oratory of Saint Silvia, after which, if you ask my Mom, I was named. If you ask my Dad, I was named after Sylvia Avery, although whether from the original song or the Bon Jovi cover, he's never specified."

"It sounds like quite the trip. And I'm somehow not surprised, having met them, that your parents would have different accounts. Taking classes from your dad though, I'd imagine your mother is probably right."

"You do," Cait assured her. "If you two will wait here, I'll go bring the van around." Cait didn't give them time to object and started toward the doors to the parking garage.

"Yeah, probably so."

"Wait we will, then," Sylvie says, fingers tapping a bit at the arms of her chair.
