Vincent pauses. He's used to being kicked around when that comes up. Then there's usually something he got out of one of mother's books. Then there's usually screaming.
And then mother usually locks him in his room, after praising him for it.
"I see." He looks around hesitantly, then back to Rahne. "Thank you for letting me into your home."
