Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
tuesday sept seventh around 5pm
O from what pow'r hast thou this pow'rful might,
With insufficiency my heart to sway,
To make me give the lie to my true sight,
And swear that brightness doth not grace the day?
Whence hast thou this becoming of things ill,
That in the very refuse of thy deeds
There is such strength and warrantise of skill
That in my mind thy worst all best exceeds?
Who taught thee how to make me love thee more,
The more I hear and see just cause of hate?
O, though I love what others do abhor,
With others thou shouldst not abhor my state.
If thy unworthiness raised love in me,
More worthy I to be beloved of thee.

I must admit that I am very much enjoying this term's literature course. I had worried that it would not be up to standard, but I should have expected that Eligere would adhere to its usual standards and fill our curriculum with only the best. We are studying the sonnets, at present, as you may have ascertained.

Private to Katherine Lawrence
I have taken the liberty of arranging for us to have our evening meal in our suite before we must report for our ballroom dancing lesson. Do you have any requests? I believe I have covered many of your favorites, but I would not wish to overlook anything you might desire.

If I were to choose one character from that particular play, she is the most compelling, yes.

I do resent the comparison to Petruchio, however. Petruchio was an idiot.

He wished to tame a perfect creature.

I wish I hated you. It seems that is one thing we can agree on.

I am pleased we can agree on something, then.

As for your invitation, I believe that would be an acceptable form of entertainment.

Excellent. I shall make arrangements for us to dine in town before the show, as well, unless you have an objection.
