He had been. On top of all those worries that this would be taking advantage of her, he'd somewhat worried that it'd make things awkward between them.
Clearly not.
He steals a kiss quickly again because that french accent from her was always a good sign in his book, and settles in. He'll leave later. Besides, it was slightly chilly tonight and this was comfortable. No reason he couldn't stay longer with her on a quiet night.
