[waiting to be picked up outside her apartment, saving Hashirama the trouble of walking up five flights of stairs to her door since there's no elevator here. is wearing a simple little black dress, hugging her arms close and holding onto her clutch purse, feeling out of place looking so nice while people walk around so casually. isn't used to going on dates like this, but has been getting used to it, and of course has a mission tonight but that can wait... is looking forward to these little dates.]

They're a carnivorous plant. They eat the beetles.

That will really attract them in if that is the case. Smelling sweet won't bring in what they are after so rotting flesh makes more sense.

What about working? Is there any chance you could get a work visa there? You could still make money and then go and explore at the same time which would be less of a burden to save for a holiday than grand.

... Maybe. I've got to finish up my life here before I begin another one. I have certain obligations to finish first. You know how it is?

I understand that. It's good to have something to strive for, something to look forward to after it is all done. I don't know what that will be for me yet. Who knows, I might get bored. [laughs, not that it's funny.]

Bored of the after. Once that is gone, what is left. I believe it is worth it not for myself but for so many other people. I want it to be over with... [and if it was, could he let it go?] What do you wonder? [caught that.]

... Ah, almost the same, once it's over where do you go from there. When you devote yourself entirely to a person... or thing, when it's, or they... is gone, or no longer has a use for you, what happens then?

Moving on would be the logical thing to do. Once you get over one thing you move onto the next and use that to pre-occupy yourself until that is finished and you move on again. But all of those years devoted to one thing and then, it's gone. Is there really a way to fill that gap it leaves behind? The only choice you have really is to accept it but it's a scary thought.

You're just like those detectives you see on TV... hunting the bad guy for years and years. But that's TV, no criminal can get away for that long, right? You're probably after some huge organization like the mafia or triad or yakuza, right?

You are intuitive. It is something like that. Most criminals who act in small groups or alone turn on each other and slip up easily. The larger ones have loyalty and can't be easily broken. Even after the head dies, the others will still remain loyal.

One bad guy is easy to catch, so if you hadn't caught him yet, that would mean it's several guys. I watch a lot of cop dramas... I didn't know it was really like that. I know it's your job and all and I should take it more seriously... but it sounds cool. A guy devoting himself to a greater cause like that... it's so admirable. [pretend to not be the wife who leaves him because of his job, check and done.]

[if only his ex saw it that way.] It does have it's downsides, not always cool. Sometimes, I will be gone for days and get called out late at night. [hint, hint. this could be the future so if you don't like that, run.] But a doctor has that as well. It's all a hazard of the job. [waits to see if its still cool.]

It's still exciting. To say your husband-- er, not that I'm imposing-- but that your husband is off at a stakeout, and you can't share details since it's confidential. Everybody's job has hazards, but to have that kind of dedication to your job is rare. Not many people realize how much goes into keeping them safe... it's admirable, really.

[smiles at hearing that. not the husband reference but the way it seems so understanding.] You truly are a kind person. And we will have to hold that conversation because we are here. [pulls the car up into a gravel carpark and turns off the engine, turning to Konan and smiling again.] You can't peek. I don't have a blindfold so I have to use my hands, if that is okay.

[steps behind and covers eyes with his hands, shuffling up behind guiding the way up the path to an old style looking large brick building. gets up to the door and keeps one hand over her eyes and reaches over and punches in the code on the keypad, waiting for the signal that the doors are unlocked and goes inside.] You can sneak a peek now but the best is still to come. [takes hands away. tada!] It's a museum that was ceased in a raid a couple of years ago. It's still private property owned by the government until they finally sell it off.

[shuffles along carefully, listening to the gravel under her feet change to cement, not hearing much noise around them except some distant cars... and hears a keypad, suddenly feeling fearful that he's found the bugs and suspects her and is turning her into the police and... oh, it's a... museum? leans back against him, feeling relief.] A museum...?
