Tick tock, you're not a clock, you're a time bomb, baby, a time bomb.character.Name: Olive "Ollie" Elaine Hornby.
Age/Birthday: Sixteen, April 14th, 1926.
House/Year: Gryffindor, Sixth.
Bloodline: Halfblood.
Personality: Olive is a self-destructive mess. She loves being obnoxious, being loud, and getting into trouble. She could care less what anyone else thinks of her, and if one dares to confront her, she'll most likely beat them to a pulp. She's hardly ladylike, and won't hesitate to use her fists. Olive is an adrenaline junkie, and if you dare her to do something, she'll do it without the slightest hesitation. Despite her brashness and general insanity, she's loyal as a dog and would definitely beat someone up for a friend.
Olive spends a good amount of her time in detention, for various reasons. She hates rules, and in general chooses to ignore them, and she hates homework. She's an intelligent girl, but she sees homework as a waste of time and rarely finishes it. She's a seeker for her quidditch team, and is, in her words, 'the best damn seeker that's ever lived and will live'. She's a bit of a tomboy, but Olive loves boys; snogging boys, hanging out with boys, and she's well known for her less than appropriate behavior.
Though most of the time Olive comes off as a generally friendly, albeit crazy, girl, she has a wretched mean streak. She'll pick on you relentlessly if you cross her in one way or another, and it's really best to not get on her bad side, because she'll make sure your life is hell. All she really cares about is the thrill and the rush, and if being mean gives her that thrill, then that's what she'll do. She's an attention seeker, due to never really getting it as a kid, and she'll do anything to make sure she has the spotlight.
Family FATHER, Sven Hornby, 42, Mediwizard. Olive loves her father to death because of their similar fun-loving personalities, but doesn't really spend much time with him, since he's always working or taking Liam to St. Mungo's.
MOTHER, Annabelle [Fletcher] Hornby, 40, Writer for the Daily Prophet. Olive and her mother argue constantly, because Anna wants her daughter to focus more on her studies than her quidditch, but Olive could care less about her studies. It doesn't help that Annabelle's favorite is the sickly triplet, Liam, and Olive knows it.
BROTHER, Sebastian Hornby, 16, Ravenclaw. TBA.
BROTHER, Liam Hornby, 16, Squib. The youngest triplet and Olive's least favorite. She loves him, yes, but is extremely jealous of all the attention he received and in turn prevented her from getting.
History:Sven Hornby and Annabelle Fletcher met when they were just fourteen years old, and have been falling in and out of love with each other ever since. Sven’s carefree and laid back demeanor often clashed with the more steadfast an studious Annabelle, and their relationship baffled their peers and parents. Yet somehow, despite all the arguing and break ups and make ups, a year after they graduated from Hogwarts, they married.
Their marriage was a rocky one, however, and they barely spent any time with each other; Sven was training to become a mediwizard and was always gone at quidditch matches, and Annabelle was writing news articles for the Daily Prophet and a nondescript muggle newspaper. The last thing they had planned as they built up their careers was kids, but when Annabelle found out she was pregnant two years in, they had to put their budding careers on hold.
Needless to say, the Hornby’s were completely surprised when they found they were not having one child, and were even more surprised when they found they weren’t having two, either. No, the Hornby’s were having triplets, and it would be a handful. Luckily, Sven had a good amount of inheritance from his aristocratic pureblood parents, and so the leave from their jobs wouldn’t be too hard on them.
When Olive, Sebastian, and Liam were born on April 14th, 1926, it marked the beginning of long and tiring parenthood for Sven and Anna. They were young, and taking care of three children all at once was tiring, but things got even worse. Liam, the youngest triplet, was a very sickly baby, and constantly had to be taken to St. Mungo’s for treatment. In the meantime, Olive was a colicky baby, always crying for attention, and Sebastian was content, but hungry. Needless to say, Liam got the most attention, and even as a young child, Olive was jealous.
As Olive grew older, it became clear to her that she was not going to get the attention she wanted, thanks to her youngest triplet. So when she’d play outside, where she spent most her days, on her little toy broom, she’d make up injuries and stories to get attention from her parents, and when that didn’t work, she’d go to the neighborhood kids and catch their attention. Olive was the kind of girl who always needed a spotlight, and she couldn’t ever get it from her parents.
To make matters worse, Sven and Anna were not getting along. The strain of triplets, deciding who gets to keep their job and who has to stay at home, and taking care of their sickly boy, was weighing on them, and their arguments were frequent. They tried their hardest to pay attention to all three of their children, but with Liam’s ill health and their rocky relationship, it was difficult.
It was no surprise when the triplets turned 11 and only Olive and Sebastian received letters from Hogwarts. Liam had displayed no signs of magic, and with Anna being a muggleborn, the likelihood of their child becoming a Squib was heightened. But Liam didn’ t seem to mind; in fact, he was perfectly okay with his brother and sister going off to Hogwarts without him.
Olive was incredibly excited for Hogwarts. It was a clean slate for her to be in the spotlight, and she didn’t have her sick brother in the way to take the attention from her. It was no surprise that she was sorted into Gryffindor, what with her fearlessness and recklessness, and she was automatically the center of attention, because that’s what she made herself out to be.
When World War II began, Olive was very aware of it. Her uncle Adam had enlisted in the army, and it was all her mother worried about these days, when she wasn’t worried about Liam. It worried her, but she tried not to think about it too much, because Olive tries not to think about sad things. It ruins her fun. But she opposes it, there’s no doubt about that, and she severely hopes that nothing of the sort happens in the wizarding world, as that would be ten times more dangerous.
Her years at Hogwarts were spent wreaking havoc and having fun. She's a Gryffindor through and through adventurous and courageous. She tried out for the quidditch team in her second year, and made it as seeker. She passed her O.W.L.s with all E's, despite doing poorly in her classes due to her dislike for homework. All Olive really wants to do is have fun, and that's what she does.
Likes: quidditch, firewhiskey, snogging, jumping off the astronomy tower, chocolate, loudness, being awesome.

Anything else you feel is important: All Olive really wants is someone to be devoted to her and give her all the attention she lacked as a child.
