Perfect audition pieces are difficult to pin down. Especially for a female lead. It would appear that most of the best monologues are for men... With the exception of several Neil Simon pieces. Or, perhaps, a creative mashing of Ophelia's ramblings while in the throes of madness. Maybe something from 'Fool for love'? 'Taming of the Shrew' might hold something... My hunt for a housemate is proving unfruitful but my hopes are high-it would be lovely if my audition monologue and a new housemate presented themselves to me soon. Within the next few days.
