EVELYN WANG
Evelyn was born out of a shot-gun marriage when her mother was 23. To avoid the disgrace of raising a child as a single mother, Evelyn's parents maintained their marriage until Evelyn was two. Her father planted the blame of a broken marriage on him, removing himself from the family thanks to an affair. Instead of a full family, Evelyn was raised by her grandparents and her mother. Evelyn was kept uninformed about her father. Her grandparents refused to mention him and her mother avoided the question altogether. Although there was no outgoing sign of distress about Evelyn, many of her relatives understood where her upbringings began and discreetly avoided both mother and child. Particularly upset with the quiet, informal disownment Evelyn decided to avoid relatives all together, silently distrusting even the nicest and more understanding aunts and uncles.
With her mother, Evelyn made occasional trips to America to visit relatives. They maintained a green card before eventually deciding to claim U.S. citizenship to make traveling between both countries easier. When Evelyn was 14, they moved into an apartment and began establishing a lifestyle for themselves there. Evelyn took part in her citizenship ceremony when she was 16, and decided to stay until she completed high school.
When looking at a possible career, Evelyn immediately chose something fashionable. She was highly interested in the whole aspect of dressing well and always went to school with an attempt to look her best. It was nothing fancy like a pharmacist or a doctor, but Evelyn went to a beautician school after high school and began working at a local low budget salon. It wasn't necessarily great pay, and soon after working Evelyn decided to find some work in her original hometown...
