Happy New Year

A Happy New Year to everyone! We hope every had a fun and safe New Years, we sure did. I hope everyone has noticed how much smoother and hopefully snappier Scribbld has been running since our transition to the new server provided to us by CrystalTech. Nothing much else to report, however one of our dear admin's

morgan is leaving us to head off to a new adventure across the country. She'll be training in California for horse back riding and will be gone until the end of the Spring 2010, so it'll just be me working on the servers and such. If anyone is familiar with Perl, Javascript, or CSS we could certainly use a hand! Anyone also familiar with the LJ codebase is definitely in high demand.

so how is this site doing in terms of money? I'd love to read a financial update :)

Not to be a nag, but it seems like inksome is going to shut down soon and I'd love to move over here, but not if this site is in the same boat :/

the only other really good alternative is dreamwidth and they are super expensive, so in terms of paid accounts I would definitely buy a full year's worth over here instead!

Financially we're doing pretty good! However we'd always love to get more/new paid customers! I see no shut down at all, in-fact we're almost at our 3 year birthday.

As much as I've considered coming over to this site and throwing down a paid account or two, I'm disheartened by how many accounts are inactive and such - usernames I'm sure myself or others would like to have.

Would you consider ever doing an account purge? Or perhaps, would you give someone an unused account if they bought a year paid account for it immediately?
