I suppose this is better late than never. Financially there is almost zero income from this website, and very little motivation. LiveJournal code is very hard to upkeep and customize and keep customizations when upgrading the code-base. Simply put it's a real pain in the ass, especially since the company continues to change hands and everything gets lots or to many things change. That being said, I think we'd like to keep things going and attempt to get a newer codebase working, it just takes a lot of time, usually time neither of us have to invest.
I will definitely try to get a news posting up as soon as possible :)
