Welcome to the Corps!
You've heard rumors and ramblings about the 55th. Most people don't even know it's the 55th, and those that do don't know what the hell it does, and those that know what the hell it does are ordered to kill you if they happen to let the cat out of the bag. Sadly, though, all these rumors came as a result of an ominous letter delivered to you with a government seal. Looks like you just got transferred to the Corpse Corps. Pack your bags, make your peace, 'cause chances are good you're coming back in a box, and you'll be lucky if it's got your name on it.
The Corpse Corps is a secret division of the United States Military comprised of soldiers and civilian support hand picked by a collective of men working directly under President Truman and General Patton called SPOOK HOUSE in conjunction with Operation FORTITUDE. Originally, part of the greater operation OVERLORD, FORTITUDE was meant to confuse the Germans with fake radio transmissions that told of devisions of soldiers that did not actually exist, who would land on the beaches of Normandy. These divisions were called Ghost Devisions, and as far as anyone is concerned, including the president, they don't actually exist. Save for the 55th.
The 55th is an autonomous fighting division, as well as an investigatory branch. While most of it's members have had some military training, nearly half of them are scientists, scholars, investigators, code breakers and occultists, all working to thwart the forward motion of the Nazi paranormal weapons and research programs. These brave men and women are referred to as The Corpse Corps, defending the free world from threats of Paranormal, psychic, and occult origins.
