“high school: the mouse race to prepare you for the rat race”
They say that high school is the mouse race to prepare you for the rat race (of the real world). Arcadia High School is like any other high school, located in Chicago, Illinois, and this game focuses on the lives of it's students. The ups, the downs. The drama. The relationships, the hookups. And everything in between.
The Rules
- Don't be a douche. This is pretty much the only hard and fast rule. Keep IC and OOC separate, don't hold onto characters you aren't going to play, don't bitch about other players behind their backs like we're in junior high. We're all adults around here, so let's act like it, yeah?
- Character Limit = 12. We are limiting each player to 12 characters and we will be capping each year at 10 boys and 10 girls (until the classes fill/even out) and we will be limiting each player to 4 characters per grade level. We aren't going to set a cap on gender for now, but please try to keep a good balance. We'd like to see a realistic balance of mail to female characters, so if you're going to play multiple characters, do make at least some of them male (preferably half and half), please. Your fellow players will thank you for it.
- Don't be afraid to talk to the mods. If you're having an issue with your fellow players, an issue being active or anything else that is detracting from your game experience, please let us know. We can't fix it if we don't know about it.
- Be active. We aren't instituting an activity check at this point, because we're aiming for a very laid back and low-key game, but we do ask that you play. Update your characters, comment to other characters. The game is no fun without interaction.
