Confident and sarcastic, this is one girl who gives as good as she gets. Most of her friends growing up have been guys, as most girls treated her nastily, and that was fine with her. She's rough and tumble herself, and isn't afraid of getting dirty. She doesn't trust easily, having had too many people give her reason not to, but once you've earned it, she's a friend for life, fierce and protective.

Supernatural abilities: Unconsciously attracts people, she doesn't know she's doing it, it's completely outside of her control and attention that it's something inside of her. The effects only last while they are in her presence, and a little afterward. It only works on people with the right orientation (only straight men or bisexual/lesbian females). For everyone else, there is a sense of competition. It doesn't work on everyone.

History: Belle was born the youngest child of a middle class family in a major city, behind her two older sisters. When Belle was still quite young, just over a year old, her mother became quite sick and died, leaving the girls' father to raise them on his own. He did his best, though they never had very much money. Still, they made the best of it, and he cherished his daughters - particularly Belle. As she grew, it was obvious that she was a little different than the other two. She was certainly prettier, and as they grew her sisters started noticing it as well, and becoming jealous of her. Other people also took notice of how pretty little Belle was, and not all of the attention was good or positive. So when she was six, Belle's father signed her up for karate lessons as a precaution.

 

Those lessons spawned a passion in Belle, and from karate there was muay thai, taekwondo, and jujutsu. She learned all she could and stood up to those girls who would try and pick on her with her fists. She often got into trouble as a child, which only set her apart more from the other kids. When she wasn't in detention, she was the quiet girl in class who stared either at the teacher or out the window and never spoke to anyone.

 

This all changed the day she saw one of her classmates getting bullied by a bunch of other boys, with the most popular girl in her class (after her, though in a different way) standing off to the side giggling with her friends. Moving closer, she picked up that he had apparently tried to give her a flower and she had turned him down, telling him he was so ugly that anything he touched would probably turn her ugly. In a fit, Belle punched the girl before rushing at the boys who were kicking the smaller boy around and joining the fray. She managed to get them all off of him before the teachers intervened, but not before she growled at them all, blocking the boy with her body. Despite the suspension she got, she and the boy forged a friendship that would last their whole lives.

 

Of course as they grew the boy, 'Beast' as everyone called him, eventually grew out of his ugly duckling phase and became the most attractive guy in their school. And suddenly everyone's reaction to him changed. Belle still protected him, knowing that these people were only interested in him because he had reached pretty boy status. So she chased the girls away from him while ignoring the boys who were still after her.

 

They were still inseparable, and eventually went away to school together, moving to a place called Haven.
