Yay, it's a meme!
For this meme, choose one character of yours and one character of mine-- and then I will write out how they hook up, settle into a long term relationship and/or marriage, and describe their firstborn child/children, if any. Crack pairings and old characters are acceptable.

Luna/Eli: Part 1
[info]lytaworthington
2010-10-28 03:22 pm UTC (link)
For Luna, the best part of being an Avenger, even if she was only a reservist, was being able to take advantage of the library.

Yes, she knew that she worked at a library already. But it didn't matter where she was. If she was surrounded books, Luna could be there for hours, and not even notice time passing by.

She was flipping through some old volumes on Wakandan history when she heard the voice of a small child say "Hello!"

Luna turned her head around to see a little girl, about three years old, with dark brown hair and brown eyes standing next to her, a smile on her face.

Luna smiled at her. She knew that a couple of the Avengers had children, though she hadn't seen this one around before. "Why hello there," she said. A playful smile crossed her face. "Are you an Avenger, too?"

The little girl grinned, honored that Luna would make such an assessment of her. "Not yet!" She exclaimed. "My Daddy says I'm too little to be an Avenger, but someday, I will be. Just like my Daddy and my Aunties!"

Luna smiled. "Does your Daddy know your here right now?"

She shook her head. "No. But he'll find me. He knows I like to go 'sporlin'."

Luna always loved being around children. They always had the most pleasant auras. "Would you like me to read to you while you wait for your Daddy to find you?"

The little girl's face lit up. "You would? I love it when Daddy tells me stories!"

Luna smiled, finding a book of children's fairytales. She took the little girl's hand and walked her over to one of the couches.

They were halfway through Cinderella when a man's voice rang throughout the library.

"Veronica? Where have you run off to, my Little Goddess?"

Veronica, who had been so engulfed in Luna's reading to her, perked her head up. "Hi, Daddy!" She said, scrambling off the sofa to run into his arms.

"Veronica, you weren't giving this nice lady any trouble now, were you?"

Luna smiled, closing the book, getting off the couch. "She was a perfect angel," she said with a smile, walking over to her. "We were just enjoying a story, weren't we, Veronica."

Veronica nodded. "This is..." she furrowed her brow. She never did get the nice lady's name.

Luna smiled. "I'm Luna," she said, extending a hand to Veronica's father. "Luna Maximoff."

"Miss Maximoff," he said, taking her hand held out to him. "I am Eli Paravich, the father of this beautiful little girl."

"It's nice to meet you, Eli," Luna said.

"Daddy...can Luna finish reading to me? We were getting to the good part!"

Eli laughed, letting the squirming girl out of his arms. "Of course. If it is alright with Miss Maximoff."

Luna smiled. "It is perfectly alright with me," she said. "And please, Eli, call me Luna."

Veronica took Luna's hand, nearly pulling her back over to the couch. Eli merely just stood in the doorway, watching the way that his daughter seemed to be completely enchanted by the blond woman reading to her, and how attentive she was to Veronica, even though she'd just met her not even an hour ago.

It was well past midnight, and Luna knew that she should be sleeping, but she didn't want to fall asleep just yet. No, for right now, at this moment, sleep was not for her.

Right now, she was just lying in Eli's arms, sighing as his fingers ran idly through her hair.

She'd never expected, that that fateful day in the library at Avenger's Mansion, that they'd only just grow closer. She enjoyed every minute they were together. She enjoyed their talks, when they ate together, when he showed her his new designs for his fashion house before anyone else. Most of all, she enjoyed the time that the three of them spent together, her, Eli, and Veronica. She'd fallen under the little girl's spell entirely, and like her father, she had a special place in Luna's heart.

All her life, Luna had always wondered what it would be like to fall in love, and know she knew. It was wonderful, absolute, perfect bliss.

"I love you, Eli," she said, closing her eyes.

He kissed the top of her head. "And I love you, my Luna."

Luna let sleep take her, the comfort of Eli's arms around her like a warm blanket.

Four years later, Luna was waking up to find a small light brown-haired, sliver-eyed girl snuggled next to her in her bed.

Luna smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her daughter's ear.

"Did you have a bad dream last night, my little Angel?"

Violet Paravich nodded her head silently.

Luna kissed the top of the little girl's head. "That's all it was, sweetheart, just a bad dream." She smiled at her. "You know what day it is, right?"

Violet grinned. "Friday."

Luna nodded. "Yes, Angel. Now...why don't you go and get ready now?"

Violet nodded, scrambling out of bed.

Luna got slowly out of bed, putting her bathrobe on.

Her and Eli never married (much to the disappointment of both her father and grandfather), but they still remained close. And even though they were no longer together, Eli had given Luna the most beautiful gift anyone could ever give her. Violet was Luna's entire world, and her heart. The soft-spoken, thoughtful little child was all that Luna could have ever dreamed for and more.

An hour later, Luna and Violet were heading out the door, Violet bouncing up and down. Though Eli saw his daughter frequently throughout the week, stopping by for dinner at least twice with Veronica, Fridays were Violet's favorite days. On Fridays, Mommy dropped her off early at Daddy's fashion house, and she spent the whole day there with him and big sister, watching her father work. She was never any trouble, content to sit there quietly, and the models were always very nice to her and Veronica, and some of them would do Violet's hair if she asked really politely.

"Daddy!" Violet dropped Luna's hand when they arrived, and like she did whenever she saw him, ran straight to her father's arms.

Eli laughed, picking up his daughter to kiss her on the forehead. "Hello, my Little Blossom," he said, smiling at her.

Luna smiled, before walking over to Eli to give him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back on my lunch break to take her and Veronica out. I found a nice little cafe in Central Park I know they'll both love.

And then, of course, I'll bring them back, and you'll bring Violet home later on and you and Veronica will stay for dinner?"

Eli nodded. "The same as always, Luna. If I am not busy, I will join you for dinner." He grinned. "I always enjoy spending time with my favorite girls."

Luna smiled, before kissing Violet on the cheek. "Have fun and be good for Daddy and Veronica, alright?"

Violet nodded, kissing her mother good-bye before running off to find Veronica.

Luna gave Eli another smile before walking off to the NYC public library to start her day.

Rex/Rose: Part 1

Warhawk was flying over St Roch on his nightly patrol. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. It was a little bit on the quiet side...which he hated. Not that silent patrols weren't a nice little break every now and then, but Rex liked a little action.

So action came to him. In the form of a woman being attacked by a group of at least ten thugs.

Or was it the other way around? Rex really couldn't really tell, as he flew in for a closer look, his mace out in front of him.

But the girl in the orange, black, and blue uniform seemed to be holding her own pretty damn well when he got there.

"Is that REALLY the best you've got?" Ravager smirked, kicking one of the thugs square in the chest, before punching another squarely in the face. Her swords were out in front of her.

Simple in-and-out job in St. Roch her ass. No, this wasn't nearly what she expected when she was told to get the Prime Minister of Hungary from his hotel to the damn airport in one piece. Of COURSE her brother's people were going to be gunning for him. But what her brother didn't know was that Rose didn't go down without a fight, and she NEVER didn't finish a job.

When Rex landed, he'd find Rose standing around the knocked out thugs, lighting a cigarette.

"I'd ask you if you wanted help," he said, still holding his mace out in front of him, "But it looks like you got it covered."

Rose took a long drag on her cigarette, winking at him with his good eye.

"What can I say," she said with a smirk, "When I clean up, I clean up."

Rex had never expected to run into Ravager again, after that one night in St. Roch. But as fate would have it, they'd run into each other again, this time in New York. Only this time...Rose was in a little bit over her head.

The Big Apple was a little bit out of Intergang's normal jurisdiction, but there she was, taking down an operation of theirs for a nice big, fat paycheck. Because when Checkmate delivered, boy did they DELIVER.

Rex had shown up when when Rose actually began to think that she wasn't going to get out of this job alive. And she rarely went into that mindset. But there he was, her damned winged hero, saving the day.

She only had to tell him where her apartment was so that he could take her to where her first-aid was. Because there was no way in hell she was going back to the Brownstone. Because while she'd been involved with the caped community since she was in her late teens, some of her most recent exploits wouldn't be looked at too kindly.

So, back to her apartment they went. And in the midst of checking over each other's wounds, things got a little...heated.

Hey, she just wanted to thank him for saving her ass.

And one broken coffee table and a busted headboard later, she was looking over at the naked man in the bed next to her, grinning like the cat that ate the canary.

"Ready to go again?"

John Joseph Stewart was every bit the child of both of his parents. Stubborn as all hell, headstrong, and loud, there wasn't a challenge that he didn't take on without a grin on his face.

His mother's less than stable lifestyle meant that the primary raising of him fell mostly to his father, who couldn't be prouder of his son. Though Rose couldn't always be there, she made sure to see her son at least twice a month.

When he's old enough, John fully intends on joining the JSA.

Cerdian/Morgaine: Part 1
[info]lytaworthington
2010-10-29 02:07 am UTC (link)
Cerdian wished that they would just kill him.

He'd lost track of time that he'd been chained up in this dark, dank, dungeon by the League of Assassins. That bastard had every chance to kill him, but he didn't. Know, instead he'd beaten Cerdian within an inch of his life, and had him chained to a wall, leaving him to hang there, wondering if he'd live to see the morning or not.

He found himself wanted to go back and ignore the visions that he had. It made him sick to think that he'd ignore that his best friend's life was at stake. He blamed the pain searing through every inch of his body.

Right on schedule, the girl who had kicked his ass without hesitation, who only stopped short of killing him on her crazy brother's orders, came into Cerdian's cell with his "rations" for the day. In other words, taunt Cerdian with food that he could not get because he was chained to a wall, and too weak to move.

Today, instead of giving him her normal sneer, however, Morgaine looked at him with a curious look on her face.

"Why?" Was the word that came out of her mouth.

Cerdian raised an eyebrow.

"Why did you do it? My brother figured out why you came here, for her, right? Why did you come here, knowing that you were risking your neck?"

Cerdian blinked. Yup, he was losing it. She couldn't be talking to him, at the very least, trying to have a conversation with him.

"Why the hell should I tell you? How the hell do I know that you aren't just going to go up there and tell him every damn thing that I just told you?"

Morgaine looked him in the eye. "Because I ask of my own reasons. Because I don't understand why someone would risk their life for another's, knowing that they might not come back."

She stopped. She had said too much.

"Anyway if you do not wish to tell me, then so be it." The sneer returned, and she walked out of the room, her head held as high as it was when she came in.

Morgaine did not know why she found herself drawn to the Atlantean that her brother held prisoner.

Perhaps it was because she saw a little bit of herself in him. He was determined, like she was, with his mind set on a goal.

Eventually, she began to help him plan his escape, helping him to recover, and began to help him plan a way to release Lian from her brother.

And though Morgaine did not like to admit it to herself, she found that she had fallen in love with him, though he likely did not share the same feelings in return.

Why she was helping him was still a mystery to Cerdian. It still baffled him, that one moment she was ready to kill him in a single stroke, and yet she was, helping him. A part of his mind told him that she had some hidden agenda, but the way that he saw her become more...vulnerable around him made him believe that there was a part of her that wanted to do good.

One day, Morgaine came to him, releasing him from his chains.

"We must go quickly," she said, a look of clear panic on her face.

Cerdian furrowed his brow. "What is it? Has something happened?"

"Yes," she said, avoiding telling him, as she finished freeing him.

"And...what is it? Is Lian alright?"

The look she gave him next was one of genuine sorrow and concern. "I am sorry," she said. "I have failed you."

"What do you mean? Where is she?" Cerdian's heart began to race.

"I made the grave mistake of telling her of your presence here. I did not expect her to do what she did."

A pause.

"She challenged my brother for the League, as she knew that he would not release you if she asked. I have seen her fight before. While she is greatly skilled, she was not prepared to rise to a challenge that great."

Cerdian's face went pale.

"I am sorry."

There was nothing in his heart. Nothing but rage. He knew that he was weak, having been away from the water for sometime, but he could feel the urge for blood rising up in veins.

It was as if she read his expression.

"I will not stop you."

The two of them fled from the League of Assassins together. Cerdian still couldn't believe what he'd done. He'd taken a life. It was something that he'd never intended on doing, but he'd done it.

That bastard had killed Lian. He claimed to love her, and he killed her.

He turned to Morgaine, as they escaped across the desert.

"Don't you have to go back?"

She shook her head. "The life of the Demon's Head is not one for me. My cousin can have the League. He will always be hunting me, but he will have a hard time finding him, as the rest will not obey his orders. No. With the fall of my brother, the League is finished. And I will not sit around and wait idly to die, or to be forced into something that I do not want."

She turned her head to look at him.

"Are you not going to return to the life that you had?"

Cerdian sighed. "I don't know. At this point, everyone probably thinks I'm dead. And with everything that's happened...I don't know if I can go back. Not right now."

Morgaine nodded. "I understand. You have never taken a life before this. I should be avenging my brother, and should kill you right here where you stand, but as it is, you did what you had to do. I said I would not stop you, and since I made no move to, I will not strike you down."

He found himself cracking a smile. "Appreciate it."

The two found themselves traveling together. Cerdian, wanting to repay her for the help she had given him, did not want her to fall prey to her cousin's men. And Morgaine, honestly wished for his safety. Though she would not admit it aloud.

One night, when they found themselves on a small island off the coast of New Zealand, Cerdian asked her a question that she'd asked him long ago.

"Why?"

Morgaine wordlessly walked over to him. She kissed his lips, and said the words that she never thought that she would say to him.

"Because I have fallen in love with you."

Re: Cerdian/Morgaine: Part 4

The time that they shared together was so passionate and full of life, that Morgaine knew that she must end it.

In the end it boiled down to that she was an assassin, and he was more good than she ever deserved.

Though it was shortly after she left Cerdian that she discovered that she was pregnant with his child.

And a year later, Cerdian would receive an unexpected visit.

Morgaine knew that the lifestyle that she led would not allow them to raise their daughter.

"Tell her what you feel you must tell her about me," she told him, "But whatever you tell her, also her tell this- tell her that I am her mother, and no matter what the cost, I would move the earth and the stars if I could if it meant that she would be safe. Tell her that I love her with my whole heart, and though I may not always be around, she remains a part of my soul."

Cerdian was both taken aback and in awe at same time. He didn't expect that he would be a father. After the time that they shared together, he never expected to see Morgaine again, though over the time that had spent together, he had fallen in love with her, throughout their travels, and had been the slightest bit saddened when she left him in the night.

Morgaine kissed him one last time, before walking away.

Cerdian looked down at the sleeping baby in his arms.

She never did tell him what their daughter's name was.

"Hello, Lian."

Val/Cassidy: Part 1
[info]lytaworthington

Valeria didn't find herself at Xavier's often. Today, she found herself there, as her father had wanted Professor Xavier to look over a couple of things for him, but had been unable to deliver the materials himself.

Val walked up to the first person she saw, a dark haired young man. "Excuse me," she asked, tapping him on the shoulder. "Could you help me direct to Professor Xavier's office, please?"

Cassidy turned around, smiling at her. "Sure," he said. "Are you a new student here, or something?"

Valeria smiled. "I'm just dropping something off for my father," she said, "My brother was a student here for a while, but I've never attended here myself. I've only stopped by a couple of times, so I'm not really familiar with the layout."

She extended a hand. "I'm Valeria Richards by the way," she said.

He took the hand extended to him. "Cassidy Summers-Essex," he said. He always did enjoy meeting new people.

And meeting cute new girls was always nice.

Though they spent a short while together, as Cassidy showed her the way to Professor Xavier's office, Val really enjoyed the time she spent with Cassidy, and found herself asking him out for coffee that same day.

Coffee led to a dinner date, which led to the movies, and Cassidy and Valeria spent themselves spending more and more time together. Eventually, they started dating steadily.

Cassidy found himself falling for Val a little more each day. He began to think seriously about wanting to spend the rest of his life with her.

But there were some things she didn't know about him.

So one night, Cassidy took Valeria out to a remote lake in the woods. There he told her everything. About Doctor Millbury and the lab. About Fargo. Jake.

After he was finished, he waited for her to tell him that she never wanted to see him again, that she was disgusted with him.

But to his surprise, she simply leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Everyone does things they aren't proud of Cassidy," she said. "I know that you aren't a horrible person, and that in your heart, if you could go back and change time so it never happened, you would. I love you for you are, and your mistakes aren't going to change that."

That was all Cassidy needed to here. He proposed two days later.

Alexander Christopher Summers was an intelligent, bright-eyed boy, full of life. He had the love of his parents, grandparents, and a rather lengthy extended family. Cassidy and Valeria couldn't be prouder of their son, who lived life to the fullest, knowing that whatever path he took, he would always have them to guide him.
